They are the perfect exemplars of opposites attract as Samantha is known for her bindaas attitude and an avid social media user, whereas her husband, Chay is opposite to her and keeps his personal life out of media glares. They had dated for a while and had tied the knot on October 6, 2017 in a dreamy wedding. Samantha Akkineni had made her acting debut in Gautham Menon’s romantic Telegu movie, Ye Maaya Chesave. The film had fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress for her stellar performance. It was during the shooting of YMC (Ye Maaya Chesave) that she had met the love of her life, Naga Chaitanya, who had starred opposite her in the superhit film. And it was on the sets of YMC, Naga and Samantha’s love story had begun. Recently, Samantha took to her IG handle and shared a picture in athleisure i.e., black track pants, cross-strapped crop top and a silver bomber jacket. In the picture, she was seen flaunting her YMC tattoo. While netizens couldn’t stop praising her picture and dropping heart emoticons, one of her fans called her the ‘queen of hearts’.

She had won the Best Actress award for her movie, Super Deluxe at Zee Cine Awards Tamil 2020. For the awards, Samantha had opted for a powder pink-coloured saree and had paired it with earrings and minimal makeup. She had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted various pictures in the same look. While scrolling through her pictures, one picture that caught our attention was the one in which she had flaunted her tattoo dedicated to hubby, Naga Chaitanya. On May 21, 2020, Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya had attended the roka ceremony of his cousin, Rana Daggubati with Miheeka Bajaj. On May 22, 2020, Samantha had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a solo picture of her handsome husband, Naga Chaitanya. Along with the picture, she had written a romantic note, which could be read as “After sending mommy, aunties, sister, friends, very straight male friends it’s now Instagram’s turn ... 'See eee my husband looks so handsome no???? (husband is somewhere digging a large pit to jump into right now).” And it was Naga’s comment on his wife’s post that was unmissable. Naga had written, “Okay now…this looks like one of those paid partnership posts.”
In an interaction with Famously Filmfare, Naga had said that he feels so blessed to be married to Samantha and had shared, "I think there was a point when we both were single. We hung out more than normal. So, automatically things started building between us. I was also mentally looking to settle down. I always looked forward to having a family. So, all those thoughts started flowing in my head and she was right there in front of me. So, I was like she is a known devil (chuckles). I know all her mischief and I am fine with them."
