RJ Mahvash Defends Samay Raina And Ranveer Allahbadia On IGL Controversy, 'Humans Do Mistakes...'

RJ Mahvash is hogging the limelight as she is all set to feature in the series, Satrangi: Badle ka Khel. The action crime series is set to premiere on May 22, 2026, on Zee5. Amid this, RJ Mahvash sat for a conversation and spoke about many things. However, it was her supporting statement for Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia that stole the spotlight. For the unversed, Ranveer’s disparaging words on Samay’s show, India’s Got Latent (IGL), had created a major controversy in 2025.

RJ Mahvash shares whether she will feature in Samay Raina's show, IGL Season 2

On April 7, 2026, Samay Raina dropped his stand-up special, Still Alive, on YouTube. In his stand-up special, Samay announced India’s Got Latent Season 2. Earlier, in October 2025, Samay dropped a hint about IGL Season 2 on the first day of his stand-up show, Still Alive & Unfiltered at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. And now, RJ Mahvash shared whether she will feature in Samay’s show, IGL Season 2. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, RJ Mahvash revealed that while she and Samay were shooting for a show, Samay asked her if she would attend the next season of India’s Got Latent. She was quoted as saying:

"When we were shooting for a show, Samay asked me if I would attend the next season of his comedy talent show. And I told him I would definitely come for the show."

RJ Mahvash shares her take on India's Got Latent controversy

In the same interview, RJ Mahvash stated that when the IGL controversy made headlines, she had no connection with Samay. Sharing her take on the IGL controversy, Mahvash mentioned that she does agree that they were wrong, but humans do make mistakes. Thus, people should stop roasting them further. She highlighted that she considered Ranveer, Ashish Chanchlani and Samay as big people and also invited them to the trailer launch of her production’s first film, Section 108, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Regina Cassandra. Sharing her support for them, Mahvash said:

"I was watching it from the third spectacle. I had spoken to Ranveer. I didn't know them on a personal level. For me, Ranveer, Ashish and all of them were big people. So I called them for the trailer launch, and they all showed up. And so for me, that is real friendship. However wrong they will be, I will still support them. I agree that they were wrong, but humans do make mistakes. So let's not roast them further. Since I know them as humans, they are great guys. They never cross their line and disrespect others."

More about India's Got Latent controversy

Samay’s India’s Got Latent show had become the most talked-about show on YouTube in no time. However, a controversial remark by YouTuber, Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps and another vulgar comment made by social media influencer, Apoorva Mukhija on the show brought legal trouble to Samay, Ranveer, Apoorva, Ashish and more. On February 12, 2025, Samay shared a note on Instagram revealing that he had deleted the videos from his channel. The note can be read as:

"Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly."
