Rinku Singh penned a heartfelt note for his late father

Taking to his Instagram handle, Rinku penned an emotional note for his late father, Khanchandra Singh, on March 10, 2026. On February 27, 2026, Rinku’s father passed away after battling with stage 4 liver cancer. He was admitted to Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida and was on ventilator support. While people doubted that Rinku might skip the 2026 T20 World Cup tournament, the ace cricketer attended the game to fulfil his late father’s wishes. In his note, Rinku shared that he would miss his father in every special moment. He expressed his grief over his father’s death. He wrote:

"Apse baat kiye bina itne din kabhi nahi nikale. Mujhe nahi pata aage ki zindagi aapke bina kaise chalegi… par mujhe har kadam par aapki zaroorat padegi. Aapne sikhaya tha ki farz sabse aage hai.. toh field par bas aapka sapna poora karne ki koshish kar raha tha. Ab aapka sapna pura ho gaya hai…. toh bas yahi lagta hai ki kash aap mere paas hote. Har chhoti badi khushi mein aapki kami khalegi. Bohot miss karunga aapko Papa... bohot zyada."

On February 28, 2026, Rinku Singh’s fiancee, Priya Saroj, took to her Instagram handle and shared a heartwarming picture featuring her, Rinku and his father. Along with the snap, Priya penned an emotional note for her father-in-law, whom she fondly called 'Babuji'. In the note, Priya highlighted that Rinku’s father was a simple and disciplined man, and his hard work and family values were the foundation of his life. She mentioned that Rinku’s father dedicated his entire family to his family. Priya stated that she always received her father-in-law’s love, guidance and blessings. She expressed her grief over his passing. Paying tribute to her late father-in-law, Priya Saroj wrote:

"Yesterday morning, our beloved Babuji, the late Khanchand Singh Ji, breathed his last after a long and courageous battle with liver cancer. As a daughter, I always received his love, guidance, and blessings. His passing has left a deep sorrow for our entire family. Even today, it is difficult to accept that he is no longer with us. Babuji, you will always live in our memories. Every smiling moment spent with you will remain our family's most precious treasure. We pray to God to grant peace to his soul and give us all the strength to bear this loss. Humble tributes."
