More than everyone is excited to watch them on the silver screen, their personal lives also make it to the headlines every now and then. For her real and sorted nature, Sara Ali Khan has made a place in everyone’s heart and we loved how she openly talked about her ‘crush’, Kartik Aaryan on various media interactions. Without batting an eyelid, Sara Ali Khan named Kartik Aaryan when asked “Whom she would like to date?” on Koffee With Karan, a few weeks ago.
Now, at the 2018 edition of the Lokmat Most Stylish Awards held in Mumbai on December 19, 2018, Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan made it in their stylish best to the red carpet. Ranveer decided to play Cupid between his Simmba co-star, Sara and her crush, Kartik and went out of his way to introduce them, leaving them blush.
A video going viral on social media, Ranveer bumps into Kartik and after a little chit-chat, he takes him to meet Sara. Ranveer introduces them to each other and then makes the adorable heart gesture with his hands, clearly embarrassing Sara and Kartik. Here’s the video:
Kartik Aaryan was recently spotted going out on a dinner date with a soon-to-be debutant, Ananya Panday and the rumours mills started churning if anything ‘romantic’ is there between them. But soon, Kartik cleared the air and opened about the link-up rumours at Agenda Aaj Tak. He had stated, “People say all sorts of things if we have lunch or dinner together. It was just one dinner. During the promotions of Kedarnath, Sara Ali Khan was asked to comment on her statement on the show, Koffee With Karan, about her desire to date Kartik Aaryan. While we will talk about that in detail later, on a radio show hosted by RJ Malishka, Sara again mentioned about her ‘crush’, and said that she finds him ‘damn cute’. And when the RJ asked Sara if she should take her proposal to Kartik, Sara requested her to please do so!
Malishka further informed Sara that Kartik has sent Diwali sweets to the RJ and asked Sara if she should send her picture along with the box as a ‘sweet’ back to Kartik. The Simbaa actress replied that she wants Malishka to send her address instead of her picture, to Kartik. In an interview with DNA, when Kartik was asked about the same, he cheekily replied, “I’m waiting for her address.” When asked whether they’ve met each other in person, he replied, “Yes, we just exchanged hellos at a party. That’s all. She’s lovely and I wish her the best for Kedarnath.”
Coming back to what happened on Koffee With Karan Season 6, the 5th episode featured Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan and it had some hilarious moments and interesting revelations by the father-daughter duo. During a 'Rapid Fire' segment on the show, Karan Johar asked Sara, "An actor you would like to date?" But before the Kedarnath actress could answer the question, Karan said, "You've already said that" hinting at Sara's previous answer, where she mentioned that she wishes to marry Ranbir Kapoor.
But much to Saif and Karan’s surprise, Sara replied to his question, "I want to marry Ranbir Kapoor. I don't want to date him. I want to date Kartik Aaryan." To this, Karan retorted, “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind dating you. Should I take the proposal?” The excited Sara agreed, “Tell him, na!” When probed if she likes Kartik's big hair, Sara answered with a “Yeah!”
Later, at the Lux Golden Rose Awards, when journalists asked a clueless Kartik Aaryan about Sara’s statements to date him, he blushed and replied, “Nahi, date ke liye kahan bola unhone.” When the media informed him about what exactly Sara had said on Koffee With Karan, Kartik’s cheeks turned red and he smiled sheepishly. Then he replied, “I don’t know what to say to that. All I can say is that she is very pretty and I am looking forward to her film.” Later, Kartik added, "Haan, matlab coffee pina chahunga."
Though we don’t exactly know if Kartik Aaryan will fulfil Sara Ali Khan’s wish to date him or not, but reportedly director, Imtiaz Ali has roped in these two fabulous actors for the sequel to the 2009 hit film, Love Aaj Kal, giving Sara a chance to romance her ‘crush’.
