Karan Johar is back with his talk show, Koffee with Karan with its sixth instalment. The show has had four episodes until now which have been aired. The guests on the show chronologically have been- Alia Bhatt-Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh-Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Varun Dhawan-Katrina Kaif. Well, it’s none other than the father-daughter duo, Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan. In the promos of the episode which have been released by Star World India’s official Instagram page, KJo, Saif and Sara seem to be on a laughter ride totally. In one of the videos, Karan can be seen commenting on Saif’s wife, Kareena’s sexy gym looks. To this Saif replied, “And I get a close up look at it in the bedroom before the departure.” As soon as papa Saif said this, his daughter Sara put her hands on her ears, and when Karan asked Saif, “You check her out before she goes?” he continued, “Yes, of course, coming and going.”
In the same video, as part of the rapid-fire question, Karan asked Saif, “The first three questions Saif Ali Khan the father would ask Sara's boyfriend,” and Saif started answering, “Political views, and drugs” and then Karan interrupted him and said, “Money would be a nice question to ask, I would ask that first.” And then came Saif’s witty and funny answer when he said, “Got cash? Take her.” Sara was too embarrassed to hear this, and she could only say, “It sounds so wrong.”
Sara also revealed that she would like to marry Ranbir Kapoor and date Sonu ki Titu ki Sweety star, Kartik Aaryan. Papa Saif jumped in and asked Sara, “Has he got money? You got money, you can take her,” and Sara screamed, “You have to stop saying that! It’s wrong.” Take a look at the video:
It must be mentioned here that Saif and Sara’s episode was the first one to be shot this season. Earlier, Karan Johar shared the following picture from the shoot, and captioned it, “Today was day 1 for the shoot of #koffeewithkaran! Shot with the extremely hilarious and supremely bright and sensitive father-daughter duo! #saifalikhan and @saraalikhan95.” Sara Ali Khan also shared the same picture and wrote, “Thank you for my first cup of koffeeee @karanjohar #fatherdaughter #koffeewithkaran #suchfun #seeyousoon.”
Before sharing the above snap, the official Instagram handle of Dharma Movies shared the following photos from the sets, and asked the fans, “Lights, camera...KOFFEE! Shooting for season 6 begins today! @karanjohar. P.S. Which pair do you wish to see on the couch this season? Send your suggestions in the comments below.”
As you must be aware that Sara is Saif’s daughter from his first marriage with the actress, Amrita Singh. The two got separated and Saif eventually married Kareena Kapoor. On the equation that he, Amrita and Sara share, Saif once shared, “Amrita and I are on the same page as far as Sara and her acting debut is concerned. We never had any such conversation. I am fully supportive of Sara's acting ambitions and we discuss things in detail”.
Sara Ali Khan is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s film, Kedarnath releasing on December 07, 2018. Talking about her acting career, Saif once said, “What worries me is the kind of relationships she is going to have. Or for that matter, how she will deal with failure - will she get upset and cry about them? These are things that niggle at me. I wouldn't say I am nervous because I am not living vicariously through her.”
In fact, for those who do not know, Saif never wanted Sara to opt for movies as a career. She is a Columbia University graduate and after her high education degree, Saif was a little surprised with her choice. He even mentioned this to a media portal, “Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn't she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this? I am not looking down on acting, it's just it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children.”
