If there is one couple whose wedding is the most anticipated in the world, it’s Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s. These two started dating in 2013 on the sets of Ram-Leela, and since then, have been giving major relationship goals. And reports on DeepVeer’s wedding dates, venue, guest lists, designers and wedding lehenga have been doing rounds like how. But no official confirmation has been disclosed yet. Recently, at Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in New Delhi held on October 05, 2018, Deepika and Ranveer were asked questions on their wedding and neither of the two confirmed anything. Ranveer took a dig at the media and said, “When? Where? You are reading it every day in the newspapers. My sherwani's colour, the wedding itinerary, what the guests are going to give as gifts, everything is apparently decided. So you know all about it. Our very enthusiastic media friends are not holding back. It's all out there but when there is something, you'll be the first to know”.
But now, it seems that there is a happy news for DeepVeer’s fans. In a jewellery exhibition organised by Anil Bharwani Fine Jewellery at NSCI, Worli, Ranveer Singh’s mom and sister, Anju Bhavnani and Ritika Bhavnani respectively, were spotted searching for a ring. Were they looking for the perfect ring for their hone-wali-bahu, Deepika? Well, take a look at the pictures:
Speaking of the ring, Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding rumours started before the release of Padmaavat when their parents, Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone (Deepika’s parents), and Jagjit Singh and Anju Bhavnani (Ranveer’s parents) sat down and had a low-key celebration. Deepika even received a Sabyasachi saree and some jewellery as gifts.
Ever since then, our Ram and Leela have been under everyone’s radar owing to the much-anticipated wedding. But somehow, there seems to be no development and progress in this regard. Since February 2018, the wedding venue has changed multiple times, and even their wedding date, now reportedly, has been postponed till early 2019. A Filmfare report earlier had disclosed November 10, 2018 as the official date of the wedding. The report was worded as, “The maximum time was taken to decide the date. Both Ranveer and Deepika want everything about their marriage to be perfect. November 10th suited their calendars as well as their parents. The roka was done long back and the wedding date was finalised just a few weeks ago”.
At the event in Delhi, which we mentioned earlier, when DeepVeer was asked if there ever was any November wedding, Deepika replied, “There have been many November weddings. By the way, we have as per the media, been married several times (sic)”. Ranveer further added, “What all has not happened in our lives. We have been engaged multiple times, and this has been written about with such details that I find it very fascinating. Such creative writing that someone can write a script”.
Recent reports have also been suggestive of Ranveer’s desire to start a family soon, “You won't find a more committed boyfriend than Ranveer in the entertainment industry. If he could have things his way, he would hold Deepika's hand and take her around the holy fire without a moment's loss. He wants her and only her as his wife, and he wants to start a family as soon as she's ready”.
A few months ago, when Ranveer was asked about the wedding reports, he was quoted as saying, “Right now we are both extremely busy working. Besides, she is also recuperating from back problems. So we are quite occupied and distracted. So, if there is any announcement in the future, you will be hearing me shouting from the rooftops”.
