The Ambanis are known to host kickass bashes with a star-studded guest-lists! And their wedding celebrations are nothing less than a festival. And, while we still haven’t gotten over Isha Amban Piramal’s drool-worth wedding pictures with husband, Anand Piramal, the Ambanis are all set to host another grand wedding. And, we can assure you Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding will be the grandest of all the weddings in India. The couple is all set to tie the knot on March 09, 2019, in Mumbai. And while we still have to wait for the D-day, the Ambanis hosted a pre-wedding bash for all their friends and family in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The theme of the celebration was ‘winter wonderland’ and the couple arrived at the bash in a white chariot. It was a star-studded magical bash and the pictures and the video on the internet are making us drool.
Recently, we stumbled upon Ambani’s choti bahu, Radhika Merchant’s pictures from the bash. In one of the picture, Radhika is seen with her friends dressed in a blue glittery lehenga. And, in the other picture, she donned a winter coat. Take a look at her pictures below:
For those who don’t know, Radhika’s relationship with Anant grabbed eyeballs, when a picture of the two went viral on social media in which they were twinning in green robes. Then at Akash and Shloka’s engagement bash, Shah Rukh Khan teased Anant about Radhika on the stage during the celebrations. Later, the two again grabbed headlines when they performed together at Isha and Anand’s sangeet. In the video, Radhika performed with the entire Ambani clan and it stole our hearts. She also gave a performance with the brides-to-be, Isha and Shloka, during the former’s engagement, which gave us our clue number two. Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO and Vice Chairman of Encore Healthcare. Radhika did her schooling from Mumbai’s Cathedral and John Connon School and École Mondiale World School before completing her IB Diploma from BD Somani International School. Radhika has her graduate degree from New York University, in Politics and Economics. After coming back to India, she worked as a Sales Executive in 2017 at Isprava, a real estate firm that ‘creates dream holiday homes for those with the finest tastes’.
In an earlier interview, Radhika had shared the reason why she returned, and had said, “To find a place where my work would matter, and I could make a real contribution to the organization I would join. I had never given much thought to the concept of luxury while growing up. However, after joining Isprava, my idea of luxury has evolved. Earlier I was put off by the mentality behind luxury because I equated it with a large logo on a handbag or a specific pattern on a piece of fabric but after joining Isprava and understanding the brand's idea of luxury I have learned to appreciate it. To us, luxury is the seamless process of buying a home and a hassle-free holiday experience.”
Anant’s mother, Nita Ambani had also shared how she has given her children the freedom to make their own decision. In an interview with Bombay Times, she had stated, “Mukesh and I have given a very strong foundation to our kids and even larger wings to fly - they have the freedom to make decisions for themselves and of course, choose whom they would want to spend the rest of their lives with.
