An epitome of grace, beauty and poise, Naagin 3 actress, Surbhi Jyoti is one of the most well-known actresses of the telly town. We loved her in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai, and continue to do so in whatever show she becomes a part of. Apart from the show receiving superb TRP, the actress has also apparently received ‘something’ (read someone) on the sets of the daily soap. In 2017, rumours all over had it that Surbhi was dating her Qubool Hai co-star, Varun Toorkey. The duo had met on the sets of the show and had hit off instantly. It was also reported that for the actor’s birthday on January 08, 2017, he and Surbhi had played the perfect hosts for the evening. Rumours also had it that they were seen holding hands at the bash and Surbhi had, as per a throwback SpotboyE report, even sent in a few recommendations in the industry back then to help her ‘friend’ bag some roles.
And once again, their camaraderie has managed to grab everybody’s attention. Both Surbhi and Varun took to their respective Instagram handles and posted pictures from the similar frames with each other. In the picture that the Uttaran star shared, the actor is seen cutely pouting while his rumoured muse is all decked-up and smiles for the camera. He captioned the picture as, “Homecoming.....! #permanentlyfavourite", to which the actress replied, "How do you always come up with best captions?" And then, Surbhi too, posted a similar picture, wherein, both she and Varun are happily smiling for the camera. Sharing the picture, the Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai actress stated, “Hello there Toorkistan @varuntoorkey #friendsforlife #myfavourite.” Do note that both of their pictures and their captions were backed by heart emojis. Apart from this, Surbhi also posted an Instagram story with Varun and wrote the words, "No one can beat you when it comes to making funny faces" atop the picture! Here you go:
However, in interviews, both Varun and Surbhi have time and again refuted their relationship rumours and shared, “I don't think people should speculate about my relationship with Surbhi. It's personal and people should leave us alone. Also, why should I tell anyone if I am dating someone or not?”
Surbhi too, had shared similar views at another interview, “None of that is true. There have been reports of me dating Karan Singh Grover and Karanvir Bohra too. I am just done with these dating things.” Further sharing how she has stopped caring about the dating rumours, Surbhi had stated, “I just ignore it. Prior to Surbhi, Varun was also rumoured to be dating his Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein co-star, Ishani Sharma. Speaking about the same and dismissing all linkup rumours, the actress had shared in an interview, “Varun is a great co-star and an even better friend. He helped me a lot in my initial days in Mumbai. Apart from being a co-star, he is also an adviser, counsellor and a good companion who I was lucky to find here. In our line we are always linked up with our immediate co-star and people love when something is on between the main protagonists. These are mere rumours and I want to clarify that we are just friends.”
When it came to relationship rumours, Surbhi too, wasn’t left behind. Reports had it that the 30-year-old actress was dating actor, Sumit Suri. A source had shared with a leading portal, “They like each other a lot and have been together for almost four months now.” While other sources revealed, “Surbhi has reduced socialising, and spends most of her free time with Sumit. He, too, makes sure that he keeps himself free for her. They want to keep their relationship discreet. However, their friends know about their closeness.” The report also stated that “Surbhi was heard telling her friends that she finds Sumit not just good-looking, but also a wonderful human being, who is different from the ‘typical television crowd’.” However, no confirmation came from the actress.
Surbhi’s superb on-screen chemistry with Karan Singh Grover in Qubool Hai was loved by all. Rumours back then had it that Karan’s then wife, Jennifer Winget was ‘nervous’ about their chemistry and had even started visiting the sets of the show. Speaking about the same with HT, Surbhi had shared, “Karan and Jenny’s house is close to the sets, so she keeps dropping by. Her visits have nothing to do with anything (the chemistry). Perhaps there’s a rule to link co-stars. I don’t feel that bad because we know there’s nothing going on. Both of them are good friends of mine and in fact, more than Karan, Jenny gives me advice and talks to me about the industry, its ways, how to go about it, fitness, style statements and so on.
