Priyanka is making India proud by ruling Hollywood in style with her choice of movies and projects. Married to Sucker singer, Nick Jonas, Priyanka is head-over-heels in love with him and accompanies him for his concerts and tours to spend quality time together.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is back in India to promote her upcoming Bollywood movie, The Sky Is Pink. The Desi Girl has returned to Mumbai last week and is keeping herself busy with promotions and interviews. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, the actress spoke about her husband, Nick Jonas, embracing motherhood and how she thinks Nick is an exact replica of her late father, Ashok Chopra. During the interview, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was all praises for her hubby, Nick Jonas. When she was asked about how Nick is as a husband, Priyanka said, “I can only relate to what I saw with my parents’ marriage. That was a marriage of equals, there was a lot of mutual respect and admiration. Nick and I have that too. He is the most considerate man I’ve ever met. In everything he does, Nick puts me first. It’s wonderful to wake up every day and know that there is this person who thinks about you even before you think about yourself. That’s eventually what you want, someone who loves you like a hug."
Priyanka was close to her late father, Ashok Chopra and even has a tattoo on her forearm in her daddy's handwriting, which says, 'Daddy's lil girl'. Priyanka feels that Nick has qualities which are similar to her father's and sees her dad’s chhavi in him. Talking about the same, she said, “The more I get to know him, yes. I feel I have married someone who is my dad’s chhavi. Not just the music, they are both very stable, solid, rooted and dependable."
When you get married, your life changes and for good. The same has happened with Priyanka Chopra Jonas who had tied the knot with Nick Jonas on December 1-2, 2018, in Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan. Talking about the changes after marriage, Priyanka revealed, “I’ve become nicer and happier. This is the most content I’ve been in a really long time and full credit to my husband who is a calming presence while I run a million miles a minute. We are like each other’s Yin and Yang, that’s what you want to find in your partner."
Priyanka is busy with her Hollywood projects and spends most of her time in New York. She has been shuffling between Bollywood and Hollywood for her work commitments. The more you get busy, the less time you get to spend with your loved ones. Talking about her and Nick's life together, Priyanka said, “Right now, we are based in New York a lot more than LA. When we have a day off, we don’t access our phones, just grab lunch, chat for hours, watch a movie, take Diana (their pet) for a walk. Nick loves walking in NY and I’m trying to learn how to do that since I’m not much of a walker. But there is something romantic about it, apparently." Priyanka Chopra Jonas wishes for a healthy child and talking about embracing motherhood, she revealed, “The only thing I pray and wish for is a healthy child who can live life to the fullest.” When probed further about what kind of dad Nick will make, Priyanka quipped, “We will find out. It’s a hypothetical question about a hypothetical future."
In a throwback interview, Priyanka had spilled beans on her relationship with husband, Nick. She had said, “Truly this is what worked for me, he has to be someone who respects you. By that, I don't mean he makes coffee for you, not that. But someone who respects the hard work you put into your life. Who respects that if his work is important, so is yours. Or if he makes choices that are important to him, so is your opinion. That's respect, and that's incredible to have. Then everything is so easy because you give each other credit for your intelligence, you give each other the benefit of the doubt because you trust each other. There's so much that comes out of that.
