On August 5, 2018, Priyanka attended and cheered for Nick Jonas as he performed in Singapore at a music concert. Priyanka and Nick went for an evening party together and were spotted getting cosy with each other. Nick was seen leaning towards Priyanka and whispering something into her ears, while they both laugh their hearts out.
Post Nick Jonas’ concert in Singapore, Priyanka arrived in Delhi on August 6, 2018 morning, and was captured by paparazzi at the airport. Confirming the news of Priyanka Chopra’s engagement with Nick Jonas, former’s co-star from Fashion, Kangana Ranaut was quoted as saying, “I spoke to Priyanka the other day and I congratulated her. She responded in a very… She seems excited and very happy. If such an event is taking place, I’d love to celebrate with her because she is lovely and she deserves all the happiness. She is a very dear friend. As per a media portal report, the source stated, “Nick loves dating older women, and if anything it makes Priyanka even more attractive to him. Nick has been obsessed with Priyanka since they started dating. He obviously thinks she’s beautiful, but he’s also drawn to her intelligence. She has this charisma and energy that draws you to her, and she’s fit in so well with his friends and family.”
In a throwback interview, Nick talked about his relationship with Priyanka and shared, “We met through a mutual friend who she did Quantico with, this guy Graham and we met up like in New York the first time and the same day I think we found out that we are both going to the MET gala with Ralph Lauren. And as strange as it sounds but we couldn't have planned it. We just had a great time. She's a lovely person and I'm dying now to go to India”. On the other hand, People.com quoted Priyanka as saying, “We’re getting to know each other, and I think it [coming to India] was a great experience for him”.
A source close to the Jonas family revealed, “His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her.” Apparently, Nick ‘popped the question’ to Priyanka on her birthday when she had flown down to London to spend her 36th with him. In an earlier interview, Priyanka talked about her marriage plans and remarked, "I totally want to get married at some point. I'm single till there's a ring on my finger. It's not about berating someone. It's not about proving a point. I totally would love to get married."
