While the nation is still obsessing over Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s dreamy wedding, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are all set to steal their thunder and exchange wedding vows on December 2-3, 2018, in Jodhpur. Priyanka and Nick, along with their family and close friends reached the wedding venue i.e. Umaid Bhawan Palace on November 29, 2018. With tight security and no-phone policy, looks like Priyanka and Nick will also make us wait for their wedding pictures. As per the reports, the bride-to-be Priyanka Chopra’s mehendi ceremony took place on November 29, 2018, in the presence of close family members and friends. According to a source, her mehendi was sourced from Ritesh Aggarwal, who happens to be the one who had arranged the mehendi for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as well, for her pre-wedding ceremony with Abhishek Bachchan back in 2007.
As per a TimesNowNews.com report, about 5.5 kgs of mehendi called Camila was sent for the to-be bride, Priyanka, for her mehendi function. Mostly the guests for Priyanka and Nick’s wedding arrived on November 29, 2018, but some of their friends and family are arriving November 30, 2018, as well. Their guests have been given personalised key cards and luggage tags, which have the couple’s signature ‘NP’ symbol. Also to ensure privacy, Priyanka and Nick have reportedly made their guests and hotel staff sign a confidentiality clause.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed that a comparison has been drawn between Deepika-Ranveer and Priyanka-Nick’s wedding. The source had stated, “The whole idea is to be one-up on the other wedding. No matter how much they pretend to be friends, there is massive undercurrent of competitiveness between Priyanka and Deepika. And if Deepika’s wedding was a super-exclusive affair far away in Lake Como, Priyanka’s wedding would be a super-lavish affair right here in exotic Jodhpur.”
Speaking about the proposal in an interview with Vogue, Nick shared, “I got down on one knee, again, and I said: Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me? No joke—she took about 45 seconds. Nick Jonas’ brother, Joe Jonas recalled an incident when he and his fiancée, Sophie Turner laughed at Nick, seeing how smitten he was with Priyanka. Joe revealed, “He’s sitting on the floor. And Sophie and I were just laughing at him. We’re like, look at this little smitten, drunk kid right now.”
Priyanka has been vocal about having kids and in the same interview, PeeCee and Nick drew long-term plans about having children. She stated, “My ultimate dream is to have kids. As many as I can.” Priyanka’s sister, Parineeti Chopra has always shared her excitement about her Mimi Didi’s wedding. From Jodhpur, Parineeti shared an Instagram story and wrote, “Heart full of love and happiness”.
In a recent interview, she revealed the songs she will be dancing on Priyanka and Nick’s sangeet. Parineeti stated, “I would do Desi Girl, Tune Mari Entriyaan, Ram Chahe Leela-Leela Chahe Ram, basically all my favourite tracks, and In My City. An English song for the Jonases so that unko bhi samajh aaye kaunsa gaana hum log kar rahe hain. And one I would do Nick’s song; his new song Right Now is very good.” Now, as per a latest Pinkvilla report, Parineeti has been trying hard to persuade her ‘almost’ jiju to shake his leg on his soon-to-be wife’s Priyanka’s song with the to-be Mrs herself!
