It was the day when the couple finally came out in the open and posted a picture from their respective Instagram handles, looking like a pair made in heaven! In the snap, you will see a dreamy Priyanka and Nick looking at each other, with Priyanka’s hand on her man’s chest. Priyanka captioned the photo as, “Taken.. With no Bollywood celebrities to be invited to the Nickyanka wedding, there is someone from the highest order, to whom an invitation has been sent. Any guesses as to the special guest is? The guest is India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi! Yes, if reports are to be believed, Narendra Modi has been invited to Priyanka and Nick’s big fat Jodhpur wedding and the PMO’s office has kept their wedding into their consideration list! However, the PM is travelling abroad, so it is quite unlikely of him to be able to attend their wedding in Jodhpur.
Grapevine was abuzz that Priyanka and Nick were in the Capital to personally meet Narendra Modi and invite him for the wedding. A Bollywood Hungama report had stated, “We are not sure if she was actually able to meet the PM with her fiancé. But the invitation with a special request to put in an appearance has been conveyed to the PM.” Speaking about the arrangements, a friend of PeeCee stated, “Trust PeeCee to pull an ace from her sleeve. Another Bollywood Hungama report quoted a source, who is rumoured to be a ‘glamorous filmmaker’ had drawn a comparison between Deepika-Ranveer and Priyanka-Nick’s wedding. The source had stated, “The whole idea is to be one-up on the other wedding. No matter how much they pretend to be friends, there is massive undercurrent of competitiveness between Priyanka and Deepika. And if Deepika’s wedding was a super-exclusive affair far away in Lake Como, Priyanka’s wedding would be a super-lavish affair right here in exotic Jodhpur.”
Like we mentioned, as soon as Priyanka and Nick reached Jodhpur, a welcome-tweet from Rajasthan Tourism’s Twitter handle must have made not just Priyanka’s day, but ours too! The tweet could be read as, “Welcome to Rajasthan, @priyankachopra. Thank you for choosing the most colourful state of the country for the most memorable day of your life. If rumours are to be believed, it was on July 18, 2018 (on the occasion of PeeCee’s birthday), Nick had ‘popped the question’. The Jealous star had apparently shut down teh entire Tiffany's store to buy a suitable ring for his dear lady! In a casual chat with Insider magazine, Priyanka shared some valuable details on how it all happened. Sharing the same, our desi girl stated, “I may have dropped that hint.” Priyanka also added, “I think we had a conversation about it when we were dating, and I've always known it had to be Tiffany." And concluded with, “I just knew it since I was a kid.
