One of the most gorgeous newsmakers this week, fans went in for a pleasant surprise when after 12 years of divorce, Pooja P Ghai went on to marry her beau, Nowshir Engineer. It was on July 09, 2019, when the first-ever picture from Pooja’s marriage with Nowshir came about. For her wedding, Pooja was dressed in a pink blush minimalistic lehenga and minimal jewellery. However, it was her and Nowshir’s beaded single-string rose garland that had caught our fancy. Posting the first picture from her wedding and her 18-year-old son peeking from the background, Pooja had written, “My pillars of strength, all in one frame! My Mommy, My Cookie, My Brother, My Didi & My Nowshoo."
And it was then when two pictures from Pooja P Ghai’s wedding came by, wherein, if we take one look at the picture, we can realise the amount of happiness and energy that was prevalent at Pooja and Nowshir’s wedding. In the first picture, we can see Pooja dancing with joy with her Nowshir’s granny who is 91-year-old. She captioned the picture, “When a 91-year-old gorgeous lady decides to do thumkas on baby doll song, without even understanding the lyrics. For the uninitiated, Pooja P Ghai was earlier married to Neeraj Rawal in the early 2000s, but it was in 2007, that the duo had parted ways. Pooja and Neeraj together have a son named Raaj, who was then six years old. Post her separation with Neeraj, Pooja was allegedly in a relationship with Nayee Padosan star, Vikaas Kalantri for a couple of years, but things didn’t work out between them either. The apparent reason stated behind their separation was Vikaas not being ready to settle down so soon. After her split with Vikaas, Pooja had remarried her first husband, Neeraj in 2010. Reportedly, he was trying to win her back for a long time and also, they did it for their son, Raaj. However, their second innings too did not last long. Pooja P Ghai’s son, Raaj, from her first marriage, is equally adored by Nowshir Engineer. If you happen to scroll through her Instagram profile, you will often spot the three holidaying together. One such picture posted by the I Hate Luv Storys actress had her and her now hubby, Nowshir, twinning in shades of cedar brown. But that wasn’t the highlight of the picture. It was Pooja and Nowhshir 'annoying' Raaj that we all had adored in the image! She had written the very words atop the picture and had captioned it as, “Literally!”
In a throwback 2007 interview with the DNA, Pooja P Ghai had talked about being a single parent and juggling her career and motherhood. Speaking on marriage and motherhood, Pooja had said, “Motherhood has definitely been the most challenging phase for me. I have enjoyed it the most too. Yes, I am not with my husband any longer. We have parted. I manage to take out time for Raaj. We read books together, play video games. I also take him out shopping.”
Sharing how her then six-year-old son, Raaj had reacted on his parents, Pooja P Ghai and Neeraj Rawal’s separation, she had shared, “He is smart enough and does not crib about it. I have a healthy relationship with my son. Anyway, he is too young now to discuss our parting with.” Elaborating on how she has managed to get through this difficult phase, Pooja had continued, “I am a mature girl and my decision was mature too. We broke up on a good note and are still good friends. My son loves to see me acting. But he hates to see some other children call me mummy. I had done this commercial where the kid called me ‘Mummy’.
