Shilpa Shetty, the once jaan of all Indians, married the London-based business tycoon, Raj Kundra, in an extravagant wedding that became the breaking news in the country. Shilpa and Raj’s wedding was a classy affair considering the choice of dresses, venue, menu, and of course the guest list. The bride wore dresses designed by, Tarun Tahiliani, for all the functions and ceremonies. While her groom opted for designers, Shantanu and Nikhil, for all the wedding ceremonies. Shilpa Shetty draped a Rs 50 lakh saree embedded with red Swarovski crystals! When we took a closer look at her jewellery, she was wearing grandiose kundan jewellery studded with uncut diamonds and emeralds that cost INR 3 crore. The grand wedding cake that weighed around 80 kg was a nine-tier, one of the biggest wedding cakes so far. No wonder, the wedding still has us and B-town talking!

In one of the most stylish weddings in Bollywood, Vivek and Priyanka tied the knot at the prolific farmhouse owned by the bride’s family in Bangalore. Following a royal theme, the wedding and all the pre-wedding functions created a buzz in the country. When the world-famous blue-eyed actress married the son of the legendary Bollywood actor, Big B in 2007, there wasn’t anything anyone wanted to miss. Aishwarya Rai’s wedding to Amitabh Bachchan’s son, Abhishek Bachchan was a private affair, but it was not low-key. 15 kg henna for Aishwarya came straight from Sojat in Rajasthan, while her exquisite wedding saree embellished with red and gold zari was designed by Neeta Lulla. The daughter of the first family of Indian Cinema, Karisma Kapoor aka Lolo, married Delhi-based industrialist, Sunjay Kapur in 2003, who was her childhood friend. The star-studded wedding took place at RK Cottage in Deonar, according to Sikh rites. Karisma had invited all her co-stars and directors she had ever worked with. Karisma’s pink bridal lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra was well teamed-up with her diamond necklace encrusted with precious stones. Her wedding sandals were also studded with diamonds. This wedding happened a little more than a decade back, and the couple has already split.

The wedding took place in Golden Palms Resorts in Bangalore, away from the Mumbai madness. Hrithik wore an off-white three-layered angrakha designed by Rocky S and teamed it with a crushed stole for the big day.
