From Karan Johar talk show, Koffee With Karan Season 5 to Neha Dhupia’s chat show, BFFs with Vogue, Shahid Kapoor’s wife, Mira Kapoor has always been at her candid best. Mira is not only Shahid’s better-half, his wife but also his best friend forever (BFF). Shahid broke many hearts when he announced that he’s marrying a Delhi-based girl, Mira Rajput, who also does not belong from the industry.
But since 2015, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor are making their fans go gaga over their cute PDAs and sparkling chemistry. Though Mira is not from the industry and is not used to handle the media and interviews, she keeps it to her natural best. In Neha Dhupia’s chat show, BFFs with Vogue, Mira revealed the time when she threw Shahid out of the house. While Shahid was shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat, which also starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Mira made Shahid live in a hotel. Mira stated, “He (Shahid) would come home at 8 in the morning and wake up at 2 in the afternoon. I completely get that he needs silence during those hours because it has been a tough night, but Misha (their one-year-old daughter) is at her best at that point — wide awake and playful. Shahid wouldn’t say anything but I know it’s going to tire him and I know I can’t put too many restrictions on her either. In one segment which is called the 'scary spice', Mira Kapoor was asked, “What's your favourite position in bed?”. While Shahid hesitated and wanted his wife, Mira to skip the question, the Mrs chose to answer it instead. She was quoted as saying, "I think he is a control freak. He is always telling me what to do." Woah! Mira doesn’t hold back anything, and this is what we like the most about her, she is what she is!
Mira Kapoor recently attended an award function, and at the red carpet, she was asked about her take on being famous because of her husband, Shahid Kapoor. She retorted, "Nothing like that. It's something that I believe in, I think at the end of the day if something has to come to you, it will come to you from underneath a mountain and if it's not, you won't get it even if it is in between your lips. I think fame is largely to do with destiny. Today also I am here because of him as he is shooting for Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Dehradun."
Mira also got candid about her being judged as a celebrity wife, and she remarked, "The concept of the star wife is outdated. You can either brush it aside or give it importance. I am a wife, yes, and my husband is a star. If you wish to put the two together, you are going to get a star wife. I love him for who he is; I don't care that he is an actor. It's part of the package. I can't say, I love you, but I don't like your profession. Before I got married, it was easy to say 'this one is like that' or 'so and so is that kind of a person'.
