After their roka ceremony yesterday i.e. August 18, 2018, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas hosted a grand engagement party for their friends and family. Many celebrities from Bollywood like Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Aayush Sharma, Sanjay Leela Bhansali made it a starry affair.
Now, amongst everything one of the most special moments was when we saw the two mothers-in-law sharing an amicable bond with each other. In one of the pictures which has surfaced online, Priyanka Chopra’s mother-in-law, Denise Jonas and Nick Jonas’ mother-in-law, Madhu Chopra share a lovely moment with each other. Speaking of the bond the in-laws share with each other, Priyanka Chopra has gotten a very warm welcome from the Jonas family and social media is a proof of that. Nick’s father, Kevin Jonas shared a few unseen pictures from yesterday and wrote, “So happy for the engagement of our son @nickjonas and we welcome @priyankachopra into our family with love and excitement”. In fact, Nick’s brother and sister too shared heartfelt messages on social media. Priyanka's brother-in-law, Joe Jonas wrote, "I couldn’t be happier for my brother. Welcome to the family @priyankachopra We love you.” And her sister-in-law, Sophie Turner wrote, “Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I’m so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra . After her roka ceremony, Priyanka took to her Instagram and sharing the following picture, wrote, “Taken... With all my heart and soul”. Nick also shared the same pic and captioned it as, “Future Mrs Jonas. My heart. My love”. Take a look:
Before PeeCee and Nick’s roka, an online media portal had earlier reported, “They’re very happy. It’s getting serious. It’s a huge deal that Nick brought Priyanka to his cousin’s wedding. He’s dated a lot over the last couple years, but it’s never been anything serious, so this is a big step”.
For their engagement, reports had been rife earlier. A source had revealed to a media house, “It's a tradition for them to meet before the wedding and Priyanka's family insisted on hosting the Jonas family in their country. She wants everything to be traditional to respect her family's values, and definitely an Indian wedding”.
It had further said, “Everything is very secretive but guests are expected to head there starting tomorrow. All of the plans are moving quickly and Priyanka and Nick do not want to have a long engagement”.
