Katy Perry And Justin Trudeau Were Seen Making Out In Santa Barbara, Fans Say, 'Love It For My Girl'

Katy Perry continues to be in the headlines not only because of her music but also because of her personal life. For those unaware, she is currently dating the former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau. The couple have often been spotted together on dates, be it in events or just out and about. Most recently, Katy and Justin were seen making out in Santa Barbara.

Over the weekend, Katy Perry and her boyfriend, Justin Trudeau, were seen out on a date in Santa Barbara. The duo appeared to be living their ‘teenage dream' as they packed on the PDA while having a cute and cosy picnic. In paparazzi photos, they could be seen rolling up to the park picnic in the singer's Moke with some food. They even brought a couple of kids along with them. 

Katy and Justin were snapped rolling around in a red-and-white gingham picnic blanket. For their outdoor outing, the couple chose to keep things casual. While Katy could be seen sporting a white T-shirt, striped pants and a sun hat, Justin donned a green tee, black shorts, and sunglasses. Additionally, whenever the two had a moment to themselves, they sneaked in a couple of kisses. Fans of the singer seemed glad to see the two happy together. For instance, one social media user wrote, "Okay, love it for my girl Katy." Another wrote, "These two are heading down the altar."

Katy Perry claimed that she is very much in love with her boyfriend, Justin Trudeau 

Recently, during an interview, Katy Perry opened up about how her The Lifetimes Tour had shaped her. This was especially the case when it came to leaning into love with her boyfriend, Justin Trudeau. She claimed that loving him makes her a grounded person in many ways. Adding that she was very much in love with him, Katy said that he makes her a complete person and acts as her “anchor.” In her exact words:

"I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love. And actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and so I felt very anchored by that because I'm a little bit like a rainbow kite. I fly super high and touch the bayou...and sometimes I need to be anchored. So, to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now."

Before Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau got together, Katy was in a serious relationship with Orlando Bloom. They were together for several years and even got engaged in 2019, on Valentine's Day. While many fans were rooting for them to be endgame, Katy and Orlando took everyone by surprise when they announced that they had called off their engagement in July 2025. The announcement reportedly came via a joint statement through their representatives. It is worth noting that in their time together, Katy and Orlando had welcomed a daughter named Daisy Dove, who is 5 years old as of June 2026. 

Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau was married to his ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau for 18 years. They had welcomed three children together during their marriage. It was in August 2023 that the former Canadian Prime Minister announced his separation from Sophie. Coming to how Katy and Justin got together after this, a source revealed:

“Katy and Justin were both somewhat newly out of a serious relationship, and Katy didn't expect to fall for somebody as quickly as she did. But Justin checks all of the boxes as far as she's concerned. He has a fantastic sense of humour, he is charming, he is a total gentleman and is exactly what she's been looking for in a partner.”
