Whenever we speak about ugly fights in Bollywood, the one chapter that frequently haunts every cinema lover is the ugly feud between Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar. For the unversed, dissent between the two brewed when the actress, in one of her earliest award shows, simply walked past the host, Karan Johar and did not acknowledge his presence as she received the award, seemingly because he did not offer her the first break in movies. Years later, Kangana became the guest in Karan’s celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan and bashed Karan Johar openly on national television by using terms like ‘movie mafia’ and the ‘flag bearer of nepotism’. While the duo have not been on cordial terms ever since, an old video of the duo recently resurfaced on social media.
Taking to the discussion portal, Reddit, a user recently re-shared an old clip of a media byte of Karan Johar, along with Kangana Ranaut, when the latter walked the ramp for his VERO MODA Marquee Design collection in 2014. In the video, Karan can be seen heaping praises on Kangana, as he appreciated her amazing fashion statement. On the other hand, Kangana too looked happy hearing him praise her. Karan Johar could be heard saying:
“Kangana is not a choice, she is the only choice. There is no list of options. Clearly the performance of 2014, she has a great amount of power in the fashion space, so she is a powerhouse of fashion, stylista, fashionista, you know and a powerhouse actress. “

Well, as soon as the clip was re-shared, eagle-eyed netizens took note of it and started to pen down their views on the same. Taking to the comment section, netizens started to guess what actually went wrong between the duo. While some felt that Karan Johar behaved hypocritically on and off-camera towards Kangana, others felt that the actress simply lost it all out due to her ego. While someone commented, “she was a rising star then, who everyone wanted to work with or associate, before she wrecked it all with her big mouth”, another user wrote, “Karan is as fake as they come in front of cameras.”

A few days back, in an interview with the Indian Express, Karan Johar hinted at his probable patch-up with Kangana Ranaut after 6 years of their feud. Well, it so happened that the filmmaker, during the conversation, shared his excitement to watch Kangana’s upcoming film, Emergency on-screen. Karan had said:
“The emergency is being made and I am excited to watch it.”
