The jodi of Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most cherished and iconic pairings Bollywood has witnessed. Spanning across a collaborative career of back-to-back hits, both SRK and Kajol have grown from colleagues to the best of friends. On the other hand, Kajol has been married to the man of her dreams, Ajay Devgn, with whom she too has delivered some of the most classic hit films, such as Ishq, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Hulchul among others.
However, in comparison with Ajay, her pairing with Shah Rukh has turned out to be more successful. Recently, in a podcast interview with eminent YouTuber, Ranveer Allahbadia, Kajol opened up about her take on the difference between Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan and how the latter has turned out to be more successful. In her words:
“The answer is so simple. It’s because he worked hard for it. Maybe his hard work doesn’t show, and Ajay Devgn’s shows. He just works 24/7 at making sure he is who he is, unchanging, and at the same time, changing, and evolving, and doing other things.”

SRK’s stardom and fame are not something new, and it has in fact sustained to be the same for so many years till date. Recalling a previous interaction with him, Kajol elaborated on how Shah Rukh’s fame and glory are so over-lasting. Kajol said:
“Shah Rukh is one of those people who recognised very early on who he was on screen, who he was expected to be, and pretty much lived up to those expectations. I remember once on his birthday, I was like, It’s your birthday, I’m coming to see you. He said, Come, come, but today’s not a good day I said, Why? He said, I have to go out, I have to meet all these people, give interviews. At the end of the day, my birthday’s not my own anymore. I belong to these people. And that’s who he is.”

Further during the interview, Kajol was asked to share her experience of working with her oldest co-star, Shah Rukh Khan, and how it has changed over the years. To this, the talented actress responded that she has seen Shah Rukh more as a person than just as a co-star, and has witnessed his transformation over the years. However, though she has not worked with him in the recent times, she is sure that SRK has now evolved to focus and prioritise himself more than anybody else.
Well, Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan have indeed known each other through thick and thin.
