In 1997, Jennifer Lopez had married a Cuban waiter, Ojani Noa and had divorced him in 1998 after enduring many legal troubles. While working on her debut album, Lopez had started dating rapper, Sean Combs but the two had separated shortly. In 2001, she had gotten married to Chris Judd, following a divorce in 2002 due to irreconcilable differences. In November 2002, she had gotten engaged to actor and filmmaker, Ben Affleck and had broken up with him in 2004. In June 2004, Jennifer had married American singer, Mark Anthony. In 2007, Lopez and Anthony had announced the news of expecting twins. In 2011, the couple had announced their split.
Jennifer Lopez had began dating New York Yankees baseball player, Alex Rodriguez in 2017. After two years of dating, the two had gotten engaged in March 2019. But from the past two weeks, reports are rife that everything is not fine in the couple’s paradise. As per a report of Page Six, Jennifer and Alex have called-off their engagement. The reports also suggest that the two are not socialising together anymore and reconciliation is out of question. A source close to the couple told People magazine, “This has been a long time coming.” The reason for the split is reported to be Alex’s involvement with a tv personality and cheating on Jennifer.
In an interview with the Harper Bazaar, Jennifer had talked about the importance of relationships and her belief in marriage. In her words, “For me, the relationship journey has been very up and down. But it didn’t have to do with anybody else but me — it was about me figuring out me. Until you learn to love yourself, you can’t completely love [someone else] in a way that is pure and true. Jennifer and Alex were supposed to get married in 2020 but due to the pandemic, they had decided to postpone it. In an interview with Allure magazine, JLO had revealed how the pandemic helped her to spend quality time with Alex. Talking about the same, she had stated, “At the start we were all filled with anxiety. We were all in the Twilight Zone like everyone else. We never get to do stuff like that [together]. I was trying to take advantage of the time. We got to work on ourselves. We did therapy.
