Popular telly couple, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij enjoy a massive fan following, and they have been ruling many hearts with their special bond with each other. The duo is quite active on social media and gained popularity over the last few years, courtesy of their daughter, Tara. Jay and Mahhi tied the knot in 2011, and after seven years of marital bliss, they decided to become foster parents of her caretakers' kids, Khushi and Rajveer. Finally, on August 21, 2019, the couple was blessed with a little angel, whom they named, Tara.
Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij’s 3-year-old daughter, Tara is a star, who is well-known for her amazing videos on her social media handles. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Jay opened up about his daughter, Tara's popularity and revealed how she is a bigger star than him. Sharing an incident when Tara stole his limelight, Jay said:
“I think she’s a bigger star than me. There have been times that when I’m travelling to some other city, and I’m going to some airport, and there’s one very beautiful looking girl. She’s running towards me and calling my name ‘Jay, Jay, Jay’ and her hair is flying, you know the whole slow motion thing is happening, and my God such a pretty girl is coming towards me, and I don’t know what she’s gonna say.”

While Jay was super-excited to meet his pretty fan, all his hopes shattered when the lady told him that she was his daughter, Tara's fan. Revealing how it ruined everything for him, the actor shared that he told the fan that he thought she was coming for him. Jay added:
“So, she comes and she says that ‘Sorry to disturb you but I just want to say that I’m a big fan of Tara’ and that spoils everything for me because I’m like ‘I thought that you’re coming for me…’.”
However, further in the interview, Jay shared that he is proud of his daughter, Tara and revealed that his wife, Mahhi always taught their little one to respect people. The actor went on to add that Tara's upbringing is the prime reason why people like her and he hopes that it always remains like this. He said:
“At the same time, I’m proud of my daughter. As I said, she does not know about being humble, or she’s too small to understand that, but her nature, her upbringing what Mahhi has been teaching her, is about respecting people, and I think that’s what everyone is liking. I hope it is always like this. Even if I’m a superstar in Bollywood, I would always want that this to continue and she should always be a bigger superstar than me.”
Jay Bhanushali made his debut in Indian television in the 2000s and went on to do some of the biggest shows. However, he eventually took a break from the fiction world and began anchoring for various shows. Now, after almost 15 years, Jay is returning to the daily soap, Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum, opposite Tina Datta. Explaining why he was missing from the TV shows as an actor, Jay said:
“Because I was anchoring, I could afford to be a little choosy and do selective work. Whatever work I have done till now, none of my shows has not worked or done very badly. As an actor, it’s your responsibility that if you feel on paper only if the show is not gonna work, let’s not take it because you spoil your name. I want to keep my name in such a way that if I’m coming and doing a show, people should say that ye zyada to aata nahi hai so is show mein kuch to baat hogi.”
