According to a tweet by someone called Chota Don, Dhurandhar singer Jasmine Sandlas was mobbed and inappropriately touched by the public. She was performing in Dehradun. After she finished a song, the crowd in the front row cheered, offered roses, and reached out to shake hands. The Twitterati commented on how she was touched not rightly and penned:
"She stepped down a little to accept the roses and greet fans, but some people showed their true colours and touched her inappropriately. We must respect others and behave properly. God only knows when the crowd will learn this."
A fan of Jasmine Sandlas, seeing the clip, wrote, "No one can predict crowd behaviour, irrespective of country or nationality, gender or performer. It's a shame, but there are numerous such instances, with perpetrators getting off with lenient punishments." Another angry user wrote, "You idiot, nobody touched her inappropriately. She is completely safe and secure among the people of Uttarakhand."
A third fan penned, "Women and artists should always be respected if they come to shake hands, talk to the audience. The crowd went berserk as everyone wanted a handshake with the singer. Some screamed, 'Ma'am'. A fan gave her a flower; another gave her a poster. Fans stretched out their hands to reach the singer.
Jasmine was surrounded by bodyguards, and then, when the crowd was uncontrollable, she got up and held the mike. A user seeing the clip wrote, "Harassment isn't fan behaviour; it's criminal misconduct. Everyone else shouldn't have to share the blame for the actions of a few. And these people call themselves citizens of dev bhoomi."
One user noted, "Pahadis would now say that these were people from Haryana/Punjab who touched her inappropriately? She deserves all the respect; hats off to her good music. But in the video, most of them are women; only a few men on the right side could be seen. Inappropriate touch was also done by women." For the unversed, Jasmine Sandlas performed at a free concert, according to reports, at Parade Ground in Dehradun. Thousands of her fans had come to watch her live, and reportedly the ace singer crooned her famous songs, Sip Sip, Shararat, and Laavan.
