Who is Jasmine Sandlas' ex-boyfriend, Garry Sandhu?
Garry Sandhu (born Gurmukh Singh) is an Indian singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor. He is primarily known for his contributions to the Punjabi music industry. Born on April 4, 1984, in Rurka Kalan, Jalandhar, Punjab, Garry is 42 years old as of 2026. Garry Sandhu started his music journey at the age of 12, when he began learning Kavishri. For the unversed, it is a traditional form of Sikh religious a-cappella folk music. Garry initially performed at local Gurdwaras and religious gatherings, and only after years of experience did he move to commercial gigs.
In 2002, Garry moved to the UK, where he worked various jobs to support his musical dream. He continued writing songs and had his commercial breakthrough in 2010 with his debut single, Main Ni Peenda. He rapidly gained prominence in the UK Bhangra scene, earning several accolades. However, in 2012, he was deported back to India due to visa issues, and then he continued his music venture by delivering smash hits like Illegal Weapon, Yeah Baby, Banda Ban Ja and Do Gallan.

Jasmine and Garry got close while working on their collaborative projects and sharing stages during live acts. They started dating in 2017, and by early 2018, they officially revealed their relationship to fans and the media. Since then, they frequently shared mushy pictures, travelled together and expressed their love publicly. Some reports even claimed that they got secretly engaged.
Garry and Jasmine's relationship abruptly ended towards the end of 2018, leaving fans disheartened. After a long period of silence, in November 2022, she finally opened up about the breakup on Sonam Bajwa's talk show, Dil Diyan Gallan. Jasmine shared being deeply affected by the split and described her heartbreak by stating:
"I feel like I have never loved before; I feel like no one has ever broken my heart before."
Jasmine Sandlas revealed that following her breakup with Garry Sandhu, she hit rock bottom and felt completely isolated. She was out of work for a long time and was losing her musical flair. At that time, her mother saved her by taking her back to America. Recalling the low phase of lost fame and lack of motivation to work, Jasmine stated:
"It would have been horrible [if I stayed in India]. Everyone left me as I had nothing to offer. No songs, no fame, everyone disappeared on me."
Although Jasmine didn't mention the reason for breaking up with Garry, online chatter suggested that he cheated on her. Notably, neither party commented on it, and Garry, in turn, blamed her behaviour for the relationship's fallout. He spoke about the split during several of his shows, claiming that a close pal warned him, saying, "Tu toh phase gaya" when he dated her.
