Recently, Sunita Ahuja alleged that she withdrew her divorce application due to Govinda's alleged plans to marry actress Komal Rani Swarnkar. Now, Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha has squashed the claims. He insisted that there is no question about the second marriage of the Hero No.1 actor.

Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha hopes that the actor and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, resolve their differences. Shashi sat down for an interview with India Today and appeared surprised when he was asked about Sunita's strong claims. He disputed the claim that the actor was getting ready to marry Govinda. In his words:
"I am hearing this from you. Aisa kuch nahi hai aur nahi hoga. Koi doosri shaadi nahi ho rahi. There's nothing like this, nor will it happen. There's no second marriage happening. She is his wife, and there must be something going on in her mind that she made those claims.”

Shashi Sinha had to speak to the media after Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, alleged that she withdrew her divorce petition due to Komal Rani Swarnkar. Sunita claimed that she got to know of his alleged plans to marry Komal Rani. Shashi Sinha backed Govinda, arguing that if the actor intended to marry for the second time, then he would have initiated the divorce proceedings. Shashi shared that it was Sunita who filed for divorce, and that Govinda never said a word against her in public. Shashi further added:
“They are both mature people, and while Govinda has never spoken a word against Sunita in public, she has been the one washing dirty linen out. I am sure they both want the best for themselves and their children. We don't know what came over her that she took the decision back, but we can hope that things iron out. It's also for the betterment of the kids, for they really get affected by all this negativity.”
For the uninitiated, Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, made a phone call that went viral, in which she alleged that she had withdrawn her divorce case. This is because Komal was all set to marry her rumoured love interest, Govinda. Both of them will be seen together in the movie, Roopa. Sunita's audio recording, which surfaced on social media, revealed, "Maine kal divorce case wapas le liya kyunki woh shaadi karne ke plan me the woh log."
For the unversed, gossip was doing the rounds that Govinda and Komal Rani Swarnkar were in a relationship. This is because both were seen together at the Mumbai airport. Sunita had called her husband, Govinda, a "sugar daddy" and had also questioned their relationship. The actor had told her to stay within her limits and stated:
"Jo kaam baahar mujhe milta hai, woh main karta nahin hoon, aur jo main kar raha hoon, usmein aap hastakshep kar rahi hain. Aur jab aap apna kaam kar rahi thi, chahe woh khaane ka show tha, chahe woh lockdown tha, Tina se kehkar dono shows mein aapne aise-vaise, yen-ken-prakaren mujhe bulvaya aur mujhse sevaayein lein. Khair, woh toh aapka haq hai."
It was in 1987 that Sunita and Govinda got married. In 2024, Sunita filed for divorce, and her petition cited desertion, adultery, and cruelty charges against the actor. The divorce case was filed under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act. Govinda's wife was seen outside Mumbai's Bandra Family Court on August 19, 2026.
