After the fairy tale grand wedding of Suryaputra Karn fame couple, Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy, the couple is enjoying their marital bliss. They got married on February 5, 2018, at Tijara Fort Palace in Alwar town. With the pre-wedding functions starting from February 4, they were finally pronounced husband and wife on February 5.
The newlyweds are not only celebrating their honeymoon in Kerala but Valentine’s Day too. After their wedding, the couple went to Golden Temple, Amritsar to seek blessings and then headed off to Kerala. The couple is enjoying their stay at The Leela Kovalam, Kerala. The couple looked royal on their wedding day. While Pankhuri looked ravishing in a red and golden bridal lehenga with gold jewellery, her groom Gautam complemented his dulhan in a cream-coloured embroidered silk sherwani which he paired up with a pagdi. Mr and Mrs Rode had a perfect dream destination wedding with their close friends and family in attendance. On February 14, 2018, it was their first Valentine's Day as a married couple, so they both posted a message with the lovely caption for each other. While Gautam captioned a picture of them, “With my Valentine. Happy Valentine’s Day Friends”, Pankhuri took to her Instagram and wrote, “Mrs and Mr Valentine! Happy Valentine’s Day!”.
The duo also recreated Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Dil Diyaan Gallan look from the film, Tiger Zinda Hai, on their sangeet night. They went for the same designer, Ashely Rebello, who designed Salman and Katrina’s look for that song. The couple danced on Dil Diyaan Gallan song and it was simply aww-dorable! The source can be quoted as saying, “During the cocktail party, Pankhuri revealed that Gautam had come across as a snob when they first met on their show's set, while the actor wondered who the jhalli was when he saw her walking around in casual clothes ahead of call-time, admitting being taken aback when she eventually emerged for a shot in character as Drapaudi.”
The couple shared their mehendi, sangeet, haldi and wedding teasers on their Instagram handles, and it looked straight out of a fairy tale. And just like their pre-wedding and wedding teasers, their journey of love is nothing less than a fairy tale. This much-in-love couple will reinstate your faith in love. With the huge age gap of 12 years, they never let this come between their relationship. Managing to keep their affair a secret for quite a long time, they finally got engaged around Diwali 2017 and announced their relationship to their fans. Gautam revealed to a media portal that he is lucky to have found a life partner like Pankhuri. She fits into his family perfectly, and their wavelength is also same. Pankhuri too shared that their families have wholeheartedly accepted their union and are happy for them. She has found the answer to all her dreams in Gautam.
