According to Stella, Dolly recently told her that even if there was no hope for her, she asked her medical team to try experimental drugs in the hope of helping others who are suffering from cancer. It's indeed one of the generous acts of Dolly Parton, whose career spanned decades. Stella said:
"What the world saw is exactly who she was, so much so, she told me recently that if there was no hope for her, she would still allow her medical team to try experimental drugs in the hope of helping others in the future."
The doting sister feels that if someone really wants to honor Dolly's legacy, they should try to lift others up, as that's something her late sister continued doing. On the same note, Stella talked about the close bond they shared. Stella went on to talk about the adorable weekly tradition they had, which was to wake up early and have a cup of coffee over the phone. Dolly's sister often complained and criticized her for the way she loved the world and everyone in it.

For the unversed, it was back in 2021 when Dolly Parton's brother, Randy Parton, passed away at the age of 67.
The reason for his death was cancer. Randy Parton was a singer and songwriter, and he sang and played guitar and bass in Dolly's band for many years. He also headed his own show at Dollywood since it opened in 1986, while having several chart records of his own. The brother and sister duo collaborated on songs like Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You and You Are My Christmas.
The news of Dolly Parton's passing came a month after another devastating piece of news in the Parton family. It was in July 2026 when Dolly lost her older brother, Coy “Denver” Parton. He was 82 years old and died on July 23, 2026, just a month before Dolly's passing. He was a crane operator who lived in Sevierville; however, his cause of death has not been revealed.
