Their wedding card has the initials of the Dipika and Shoaib and a lovely text written on it, “Zindagi ki kitaab ko khoobsurat banaa rahe hain”. According to an Indian Express report, a source close to the couple was quoted as saying, "Shoaib and Dipika, both wanted a very personalised affair. Being quite private people, they chose to have the ceremonies in Bhopal to avoid the constant media attention. Also, with Shoaib’s family residing there, it helped them in organising a grand yet a close-knit wedding. Only the closest of the friends have been invited but the rest would get to wish the newly-weds in a reception in Mumbai, the dates of which hasn’t been fixed yet." The couple headed off to their wedding destination Bhopal and will be pronounced as husband and wife as per Muslim rituals. Sharing pictures on their official Instagram page under the hashtag #dodilmilrahehai, the wedding preparations have started in full swing. In Valentine’s post for 2018, Shoaib posted a picture in which he is seen putting the red chunri on his lady-love, which can be taken as a hint that it was Dipika’s wedding lehenga trial.
Though they both are from different religions, and it is Dipika’s second marriage, it never became an issue or a problem between the couple. About the same, Dipika shared, "It was never an issue between us as we have our priorities sorted. We are mature people and understand each other well. Be it work or personal life, we take all decisions together as that’s how our relationship has been formed." Dipika was earlier married to Raunak Samson, and initially, she wanted to make sure that her relationship with Shoaib was not a rebound from her broken marriage. The lovebirds got introduced to each other while working for the show Sasural Simar Ka, and they fell in love. Shoaib pulled her off through those difficult times. It was on the sets of Nach Baliye 8 when Shoaib got down on his knees and proposed to Dipika on the national television.
Accepting that he is completely smitten by the love of his life, Shoaib said in an interview, “On one hand, I am completely romantic but fail when it comes to being vocal or expressive about it. On the other hand, Dipika is extremely expressive and equally romantic. But she has accepted the way I am and is all OK with my in-expressiveness. She literally treats and pampers me like a kid and I love it.”
Even Dipika shared that she has a great bonding with Shoaib's family, and she is more close to his mother than him. She was quoted as saying, "Coming from a small town, even his parents never let me feel that. I have always longed for family. Ammi sends dabba for me when my mother is not there. I feel I am more close to his mom than him. Everything is positive and we are more at peace now."
We are eagerly waiting to see Dipika and Shoaib in the bride and groom avatar.
