One of the famous television actresses and Bade Acche Lagte Hai fame, Chahatt Khanna has left everyone in utter shock when she announced her separation with husband, Farhan Mirza. Chahatt took the wedding vows with businessman Farhan in the year 2013. Together they have two lovely daughters, Zohar Mirza and Amaira Mirza. It is very shocking for one and all when Chahatt Khanna shared a picture on Instagram along with which she wrote, ‘single mom’ in the hashtag. This popped out everyone’s eyes and left everyone’s tongues wagging. And when she was contacted for the same, she was quoted as saying, “I think it is too early to comment on it. I shall comment on it when the time is right. I am glad you called me up rather than just writing about it. I request media to give me the much-deserved privacy.”
And now, when Bollywoodlife got in touch with her, she confirmed her separation. She even revealed that they have been living separately for a few weeks and are filing for divorce. Here’s what Chahatt Khanna stated, “It’s my personal life and I don’t need to give clarification to any other than my family, but yes it’s true, its been some weeks we have separated and filing for a divorce, reasons are too personal to be disclosed. For the ones who don’t know, it was Chahatt Khanna’s second marriage. She was earlier married to a businessman, Bharat Narsinghani, with whom she tied the knot in 2006. She ended that marriage saying she was a victim of physical abuse and mental torture. After this marriage got called off, she was in a relationship with actor Kanana Malhotra, but then that didn’t materialise. Soon after a few months, she went on to marry Farhan Mirza. Earlier, Chahatt made it to the headlines for conceiving right after giving birth to her and Farhan’s first child. Chahatt got pregnant again after Zohar within just a few months. Talking about her sudden second pregnancy, she was quoted as saying, “It’s a surreal feeling! One cannot really explain how sacred and special it feels to be a mother. Clarifying the fact that why she didn’t choose to have a gap between the two pregnancies, Chahatt was quoted as saying, “Honestly, I don’t understand when married couples say, ‘We are planning’. Everybody knows how a baby is born and there’s no planning required. It just happens in a flow. Besides, I didn’t wish to wait for three years to have a baby and then again go for maternity break for the second time. So, I feel this has to be the best time to conceive a second child.”
Well, this is a really sad news that Chahatt and Farhan are no more together. Nonetheless, we wish all the luck to both of them and their little cuties, Zohar and Amaira.
