From his millions of fans to his family, everyone has been mourning the loss of the legendary singer. The world of music has lost one of the most precious gems with the sudden demise of Bappi Lahiri. For the unversed, the singer, who had ruled the 70s and 80s with his foot-tapping songs, had developed a chest infection and was treated for the same. On February 23, 2022, Bappi Lahiri's family hosted a prayer meet in remembrance of him. Several celebrities attended the event to pay tribute to the singer, including his wife, Chitrani Lahiri. However, it was his daughter, Reema Lahiri, who was totally heartbroken during the entire ceremony. Check it out:
In an interview with The Times of India, Bappi Lahiri's son, Bappa Lahiri had quashed all the medical reports and had said that his father had died of a heart attack. He had shared that his heart had suddenly stopped. He was rushed to the hospital, but his heart could not be revived.

Bappa had also revealed that his late father had spent the entire January in the hospital. However, he had always wished to go back home. He was discharged from the hospital on February 15, 2022. But when he was back, he had stopped eating and wasn't feeling well. His health had deteriorated by the evening, and the family had taken him to the hospital.
