Awez Darbar Reacts To 'BB19' Winner, Gaurav Khanna And Akanksha Chamola's Divorce, 'Thoda Embarrass'

Bigg Boss 19 winner, Gaurav Khanna’s wife, Akanksha Chamola, who is currently slaying in Lock Upp 2, recently dropped a shocking revelation about her married life. Soon after her entry on the reality show, she revealed that she is getting divorced from her husband and television actor, Gaurav Khanna. As per her, they have been living separately for over a year now. Amid that, Gaurav Khanna’s co-contestant from Bigg Boss 19 and his friend, Awez Darbar, a while ago, expressed his shock towards the divorce and revealed that he had no idea about it.

Awez Darbar reveals he had no idea about Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola’s divorce

Currently, a video of former Bigg Boss 19 contestant, Awez Darbar was shared by a paparazzi, in which the social media influencer can be seen talking about Gaurav Khanna’s divorce from his wife, Akanksha Chamola, who is participating in the reality show, Lock Upp Season 2. Awez also stated that he is feeling embarrassed to call and ask Gaurav about the divorce. As per a report by Republic World, Awez Darbar was quoted as saying:

"Yeh toh bahut bada shocker hai. Woh toh ab jab woh show ke bahar aayenge tab main puchunga unse. Mujhe Gaurav (Khanna) bhai ko message karke puchna hai iss baat ke baare mein but mujhe thoda embarrass feel ho raha hai. I'll speak to him on phone and ask him about this."

Further, when Awez was asked if he had any idea about their divorce, he instantly refused and explained that he was shocked when Akanksha Chamola announced it on national television. He also highlighted the challenges and difficulties everyone has been facing ever since Bigg Boss 19 ended. For the unversed, soon after the show, Awez also parted ways with his longtime girlfriend, Nagma Mirajkar. In his words:

"Nahi bhai. Woh toh jab episode launch hua tab main ekdum shock ho gaya. Sab ki life mein hota hai. Hamari life mein bhi hua hai. Sabki life mein aisa hota rehta hai."

Akanksha Chamola’s shocking revelation about her marriage

For those unaware, Lock Upp Season 2, hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh premiered on June 27, 2026. During Akanksha’s entry, when she was asked to reveal any shocking detail, she announced her divorce with Anupamaa actor, Gaurav Khanna. She shared:

"Gaurav and I are getting a divorce. We have been living separately for the last one year, and it has not been public. Things are not bad between me and Gaurav. We still talk to each other. We don't think we are compatible as partners because we both see very different futures. And, unfortunately, it's not with each other."

It is worth mentioning that Gaurav Khanna is currently shooting Khatron Ke Khiladi and has not issued any official statement regarding the divorce. Gaurav Khanna has also not yet publicly expressed his support towards his wife, amid her journey in the reality show. However, Akanksha has been facing backlash for the same. Multiple netizens feel that their divorce is a publicity stunt as the pair had been enjoying their time together after Bigg Boss 19 ended. Their YouTube vlog also did not address anything about their divorce.

Akanksha Chamola dismissed divorce buzz a few months before announcing separation

A few months ago, when Akanksha shared a cryptic post on her IG handle, multiple users felt that she hinted at trouble in her marriage with Gaurav Khanna. However, the actress later clarified and said, "There is absolutely no trouble in our marriage, and the post had nothing to do with Gaurav. I am not someone who discusses personal matters on social media." Talking about Gaurav Khanna, he is often recognised for his loving nature towards his wife and fans are eagerly waiting for a statement from his side.
