Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleEmraan Hashmi has returned as the heartbroken, pain-stricken 'Shivam Pandit' after 19 years. He is that 'ghayal parinda hai zakhmi par zinda hai' who is now on a new mission to save the life of a young girl called 'Aliyah' whom he had found at his beloved 'Aliyah's (Shriya Saran's ) qabristan. He finds the young 'Aliyah' with the help of 'Zara' (Disha Patni), but 'Shivam' is seen leaving them both. The story may continue as Emraan hinted at Awarapan 3.
Why does 'Shivam Pandit' leave 'Zara' and 'Aliyah'?
Awarapan 2 will give you a nostalgic feeling of the original 2007 movie. In the sequel, 'Shivam's' mission is to find 'Aliyah', his 'dil ka sukoon'; the young girl whose disappearance makes him get back into the gangster world. 'Shivam' arrives in Bangkok and learns that 'Zoravar' (Puran Gabbi) runs a new business in which a group of kids is held captive. (Spoilers ahead).
'Shivam' in the climax is seen saving 'Zara' and 'Aliyah' but he does not stay behind to watch 'Zara's final music performance. She has fallen for 'Shivam' as when he tells her that he has to leave, 'Zara' says, "Main tumhein jane ki wajah nahi puchungi. Tumne mujhe aazad kiya hain toh mein tumhein kaise kaid kar sakti hun."
For the unversed, 'Zara' is 'Zoravar's' sister, and when he comes to know that his sister and 'Shivam' together have exposed his business, 'Zoravar' wants both to die. 'Shivam' leaves 'Zara ' and 'Aliyah ', as 'Nafisa', played by Shabana Azmi, agrees to help 'Shivam' defeat 'Zoravar'. Her help comes with a condition that once he completes the mission, 'Shivam' has to work for 'Nafisa'.
What will happen to 'Shivam' and 'Zara's story? Emraan Hashmi reveals Awarapan 3 details
At the end of Awarapan 2, Emraan is seen being dragged back into the criminal network. In the final scene, he is seen entering a cargo vehicle with other men, and it appears they are all on a new mission. Awarapan 2 had an open-ending as 'Shivam' could rescue the kids, but there is no complete closure for him.
Emraan Hashmi during the screening of Awarapan 2 had hinted about Awarapan 3. The ending of the movie has left the doors open for the third installment. Emraan was seen interacting with his fans and spoke about how the movie brought back more emotions and action. In his words:
"This is a film which belongs to the fans more than the makers, which is why we have returned. We have made this journey even more thrilling with more action and emotions. We hope you enjoy the entire film, and hopefully, Awarapan 3 very soon."
Fans had told Emraan that the movie would be a superhit, and the actor had told them to wait for the second half. Emraan had shared that the second half of the film is better. For the unversed, as seen in Awarapan, 'Aliyah' and 'Shivam's' lives are sacrificed. In Awarapan 2, directed by Nitin Kakkar, the sequel shows him moving forward in life amid loss and guilt.
Awarapan 2 has been loved by all the '90s kids and fans of Emraan Hashmi's work. A Redditor revamping nostalgic moments had written, "I kinda loved it. My first Emraan movie in a theatre. And as a 90s kid, I now regret not going for his biggies in the past. They milked the nostalgia from the 2 anthems really well."
Another Awarapan 2 fan, speaking about the ending of the movie, mentioned that this movie picks up straight where the earlier movie left us. A part of the comment read, "We saw Reema's story's conclusion but never saw Shivam's conclusion. No spoilers, you'll be getting that 2000s Emraan nostalgic ride. Yes, he has aged, but his aura has only grown stronger over time. Every Emraan fan will feel it."
