Ariana and Ricky dated each other in 2015, and even though they parted ways within a year, the pair reconciled weeks after the singer broke up from Ethan Slater.

Ariana Grande and her ex-boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez have been dominating the headlines ever since the latter began accompanying the singer in the ongoing Eternal Sunshine tour. While their appearance sparked major dating rumours, they never confirmed anything about the same. However, it looks like things are official now.
A while ago, a source close to Ariana and Ricky had a conversation with Page Six, during which the source confirmed that the pair is back together, but they are taking things slow. Since the singer is busy with her tour, she is trying to take one step at a time. The insider was quoted as saying:
"Ariana has rekindled things with Ricky, but she isn’t rushing back into the relationship. She has a lot on her plate at the moment and is still incredibly busy with her tour schedule, so they’re taking things one step at a time. Ricky has remained close with Ariana’s family over the years, and that’s something she really appreciates. He has also made an effort to show up and support her while she’s on tour, which hasn’t gone unnoticed."
Further, another source has a chat with People Magazine. The source claimed that Ariana feels good near Ricky as he has been nothing but supportive. It is worth mentioning that despite breaking up in 2016, Ariana and Ricky remained on cordial terms. The source explained:
"Ariana has always considered Ricky a friend. She’s not held ill will against him since their split. Ricky is dependable, trustworthy and very supportive. Ariana feels she can be herself around Ricky. They’re not jumping into anything serious right away, but Ari is happy to have him back in her life."
Talking about Ariana and Ricky’s relationship, they first crossed paths in 2014, when the latter was the backup dancer at one of the singer’s performances. While preparing for the same, the duo became friends and eventually fell in love. They started dating in 2015; however, by 2015, they had quietly parted ways, leaving their fans heartbroken. They never revealed the real reason behind their split.

For those who do not know, Ariana Grande was previously in a relationship with Ethan Slater. The two met on the sets of the movie, Wicked and gradually started dating each other. A few weeks ago, a source confirmed that they had parted ways, in early 2026. The reason behind their split has not been revealed; however, reports claim that the actor is still in love with the singer. It is worth noting that Ariana and Ethan dated for three years and were the most loved couple.

Ricky Alvarez is a popular photographer, creative dancer and former backup dancer. He first grabbed attention in 2014 from Ariana Grande's performance. Later, he went on to build a name as a recognised photographer. He worked on multiple projects and founded his media company named All Things Mean.
After breaking up in 2016, Ricky maintained a good bond with Ariana. Two years later, he even designed the artwork of her 2018 song, Imagine. He even attended some of her events and cheered for her whenever possible. It is worth mentioning that apart from Ariana, there is no information about Ricky's dating history.
