A love story that began with a bold commercial for a coffee brand, Mr Coffee in 1993, transformed into 5 years of courtship and then marriage. But 18 years into marriage, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan shocked everyone with the revelation of their divorce. Eventually, Malaika and Arbaaz moved on with their lives and found ‘love’ for the second time in Arjun Kapoor and Giorgia Andriani, respectively. Ever since their respective relationships have made it to the headlines, the reports of the wedding bells ringing have churned the rumour mills.
In a recent interview, Arbaaz Khan got candid about the idea of remarrying after his divorce with Malaika Arora. Arbaaz stated, “It's like if you know you are gonna die you are not gonna stop living right? Does it mean you are gonna stop living? You do things because the society wants certain things in a certain way. Of course, the times are changing. Even in the past there were people who had kids without getting married or whatever and they didn't feel like getting married. But we have seen how that system (marriage) gives more solidness or stability to lot of things in the family and people around you. So, that institution is a working institution."
Hinting that marriage may be on the cards for him again, Arbaaz Khan went on to add, “Now it can fail in certain cases you know. You could be looking healthy and you could get a heart attack. Things like that when everything seems fine, but it crumbles. In my case probably that happened. Everything seemed fine, everything was going fine but things didn't work out and it was only fair that two people who really want to take their lives in their own hand, will take a decision. So, I have no issues with that. There's a good chance that it might happen in my life again. I am not going to say that oh I am going to be disillusioned by the fact that oh this has not worked so I am never going to think in that direction. Maybe I will... Let's see whenever that opportunity or the person or the scenario arises but I have not gone disillusioned or bitter by that now." In a conversation with Zoom TV, Arbaaz Khan had opened up about his failed marriage with Malaika Arora, and was quoted as saying, “People would love to make certain things with lot of adjustments and compromises or scenarios and make it look like it is perfect in anything whether it is your career, whether it is your relationship whether it is your marriage, we want to believe that we can make it. But, I don't know if you ask even the ones who are living that life wouldn't they want something better or could've expected more, maybe yes.”
Revealing how he had tried to make his relationship work with Malaika Arora for 21 years, Arbaaz Khan had shared, “Human beings would still want (more) and you also have people who say I couldn't have asked for a better woman or a better wife, I am so happy. Yes, those scenarios also exist. But, perfection is something that is a constant thing you need to achieve. It is not that you have achieved it and it's gonna stay. It's everyday hard work. To continue to be where you have to be. So that happens in relationships also. I tried for 21 years but I couldn't succeed in one aspect but theek hai (that's okay). It's alright. Not many people even try that long.”
Confirming his relationship with Giorgia Andriani, an Italian model, Arbaaz Khan had said in an interview with Zoom TV, “At this point of time yes, I am dating, and I don't know where it's gonna go but people think they know.” In another interview with Deccan Chronicle, Arbaaz had shared that he doesn’t shy away from publicly hiding his affair, “If I had to hide my affair, I would not have brought it in open. I unhesitatingly admit that Georgia is there in my life at this point in time. Somebody who I have at his time in my life is a friend who I am also dating. Where it is going to go?
