A recent video of Sonam’s father and mother, Anil and Sunita Kapoor checking the lights for their darling daughter’s wedding, at their Juhu residence went viral. When asked about the reason behind so much of decoration, Anil answered, “Media has always been with me and my family when we began our careers. We will share everything at the right time. Much to everyone’s contentment, Anil Kapoor’s answer was a cue that it’s not long when we will get to hear the wedding bells soon! Sonam is currently busy with the preparations of her upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding. She kept it bare minimum when asked about her wedding at her recent movie promotions. Sonam shared, “Everybody will hear everything in all good time." Well Sonam, we can’t wait!
While everything is being taken care of, what will take away all the claps in Sonam’s wedding are the star-studded dance performances at her sangeet which is choreographed by Anil’s dear friend, Farah Khan. Rumours also had it that Sonam’s cousin, Jahnvi Kapoor will perform to her mother, Sridevi’s hit songs like Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Choodiyan Hain and Kisi Ke Hath Na Ayegi Ye Ladki. As per reports, cousin Arjun Kapoor and dear friend, Ranveer Singh will be seen performing to Anil Kapoor’s all-time hit, My Name Is Lakhan.
Latest buzz also had it that there would be no wedding card for Sonam and Anand’s wedding as the couple felt that wedding cards waste a lot of paper. They will be having an elegant customised e-invite for every guest. There will also be stickers for every guest to avoid gate-crashing at the wedding.
Sonam will return to work immediately post-wedding. Her latest film, Veere Di Wedding, is slated for a June release. Post this, she will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s, Sanju and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, which will also star her father, Anil Kapoor.
