Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja together make for one of the powerful couples from the Tinseltown. Be it their awe-inspiring pictures, mushy captions or healthy teasing, Sonam and Anand have redefined love for everyone out there. On May 8, 2018, the lovebirds took the wedding vows in a big fat Punjabi wedding amidst their loved ones. Their fans were so hooked up to their phones that their wedding trended on social media like crazy.
Ever since their wedding, Sonam and Anand didn’t go on a full-fledged honeymoon and even on their first anniversary last month, they couldn’t make some time out for themselves. Courtesy the fact that they respected each other’s prior professional commitments. Nonetheless, Anand and Sonam had an all in one kind of experience recently during their trip to Tokyo, Japan. Anand took to his official Instagram handle and shared a lovely snap of Sonam (which he reveals is his favourite), wherein she can be seen busy watching Fighting With My Family. Along with the snap, Anand wrote, “This may actually be my favourite picture from the trip. Seeing her someone smile so radiantly is like a peak into her childhood.” Not just this, he again took to the comments section and elaborated on the picture by writing, “And I picture her saying “I understand what you’re saying, and your comments are valuable, but I’m gonna ignore your advice.” Take a look at the picture here:
A few days back, Sonam had posted a picture from their trip and wrote, “I ask myself every day… How did I get so lucky to marry my best friend in this world? @anandahuja Anand and I didn’t get a honeymoon, so this was honeymoon/anniversary/birthday trip all rolled into one. And let me tell you it was worth the wait. I had the best time of my life. Thank you, my love.” Checkout the picture she had shared:
Complaining about the fact that Sonam spoils his plans, Anand had once told MensXP, "It’s funny. Sonam is always messing on my plans. Last year, she had Cannes right after the wedding. We didn’t do a honeymoon. We did a really short one in Japan, this year, we were again planning to go to Japan but then her Zoya Factor schedule is there, and it has changed a bit. We are not going in June, but we will go after her birthday. We are so fortunate that with our schedules, we travel so much and get to spend time. We will be in London for the anniversary. London is a little break for her. We will surely do a Japan trip at the end of the year (sic)." In an interview with Vogue, Anand had spilt beans on how they became friends and was quoted as saying, "The first time we met, we talked about our respective work. I was just struck by the fact that I could speak to her so openly about everything. We were chatting on Snapchat one night and she said, ‘Stop texting, just call me.’ And we spoke for two hours that night. Our friendship started over superficial things like vegan chocolates and sneakers but soon we were having deeper conversations."
In a throwback interview with Elle India, Anand had opened up about successfully managing their long-distance marriage. He had quipped, “Long distance can get tiring, but we're lucky that Delhi, London and Mumbai are all home, for work. It could be worse, but it obviously could be better. It's hard to not be together, especially after you get around to being married and you want to have that time. But Sonam's got a hectic schedule this year — she's got four films coming up. But we make it work. We have certain tricks — for example, we always have a meal together over Skype.” (Also Read: Suhana Khan Looks Radiant In A Tube Top And Two Braids At A Recent Party With Friends (Pictures))
