The actress looked no less than an angel in a custom-made white-hued pearl-encrusted gown from the shelves of eminent designer, Prabal Gurung. As compared to her socially active professional side, Alia Bhatt is very reserved and comparatively shy in social circumstances. The actress agreed on such a side of her personality in an interview with Vogue magazine. She revealed the behind-the-scene moments riding up to her grand debut on the iconic Met Gala steps. When the host asked her to reveal a hilarious moment before her grand debut, she recalled how she frantically reached out to her colleague and Met Gala veteran, Priyanka Chopra, to help her to reach the bathroom out of social awkwardness during the event. In her words:
“The thing is again; I am so socially awkward and shy. It's very strange how I am an actor and I'm like literally in the movie business that requires you to be, you know, centre stage, spotlight, being like whatever. Priyanka and I were talking about it yesterday. She's like 'You get in, and you find us'. And, I am like ‘Okay, definitely because you’re gonna have to take me to the bathroom. I'm not gonna be able to go myself.”

Like any other individual getting anxious about a public appearance, Alia Bhatt felt the same nervousness before her grand debut at the Met Gala 2023. Considering it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Alia was stressed about walking the steps. In the BTS interview with Vogue magazine right before her impressionable Met Gala performance, the Raazi actress revealed her nervousness before the big moment. Standing before the dressing mirror, addressing some last-minute changes, Alia mentioned feeling a slight wobble on her knees. In her words:
“When you talk about one of the major events in the year globally, the first that comes to mind is the Met Gala. It is very exciting, but I will definitely tell you that when I am stepping out of that sprinter van, I am going to feel like a little wobble in my knees. It is not going to be really nice because I have a very big dress, and very high shoes."
While the Met Gala 2023 was a momentous occasion for the actress, it was also the most challenging stance for the newbie mommy, Alia, since she had to leave her 6-month-old daughter, Raha, away in Mumbai. Revealing that it was perhaps for the first time that she had been the longest away from her bundle of joy, she mentioned:
“So this is the longest I have been away from my daughter, Raha. And she is almost 6 months now and I have only been away from her for like 24 hours before this, like for one day and now it's almost going to be like 4 days. I get a couple of seconds to video call her as soon as I wake up."

Alia Bhatt set a different fashion standard with her gorgeous look at her Met Gala 2023 debut. Therefore, turning muse for the Nepalese-American designer, Prabal Gurung, Alia stole the show in a grand ball gown adorned with 100K pearls. Inspired by supermodel, Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look, the actress’ outfit was proudly made in India. She complemented her outfit with a matching, pearl-encrusted bow-shaped hair accessory and amped her look with diamond earrings, bold eyes and glam makeup.
