However, Alia maintained her demeanour and smiled before walking off the red carpet.

Soon, after the video went viral, the internet users flooded the comment section of the post with their hilarious reactions. The incident even reminded a section of people about the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre event, where the Indian paparazzi addressed the Hollywood stars incorrectly. Reacting to the video, one of the Reddit users wrote, "American paps taking their “yeh shakira hai kya” revenge." Another commented, "Jhandeya ikde ikde” ka badla le rhe h." Moreover, a section of people even stated the incident as disrespectful to Aishwarya and wrote, "Ngl if I was mistaken for Aishwarya, I’d be crying of joy. But if I were Aishwarya, I’d be very offended."
A few days ago, a video from the grand launch of Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Centre went viral on the internet. In the video, Indian paps were seen shouting incorrect names at the Hollywood stars. While some called Tom Holland 'Makdi Man', 'Kya Spiderman banega re tu", others addressed Zendaya as 'Jhandeyaaa'. A section of the paps even called Priyanka Chopra's husband, Nick as 'Nickwa', and said, "Jijaji sharma gaye."

On May 2, 2023, Alia had taken to her Instagram handle and dropped some stunning glimpses of herself from the Met Gala 2023. In the priceless pictures, the actress could be seen donning a white-coloured ball gown which was adorned with pearls all over it. Her outfit was a tribute to Lagerfield's Chanel bride collection, and she looked nothing less than a Disney princess in the white flowy gown. Alia teamed her outfit with custom-made embellished gloves, matching diamond earrings and a stack of rings. A centre-parted half-tied hairdo adorned with an embellished bow, subtle makeup, and earrings accentuated her look.
