After his divorce from Donna Kelce, Ed Kelce found love again, in Maureen Maguires. The duo kept their relationship out of the public limelight, mostly. Well, it was in 2025, when Maureen Maguires passed away. However, Ed once shared a hilarious and sweet incident that took place between Maureen Maguires and Taylor Swift, during their first meeting. To mention, Ed and Maureen had been together for several years. Speaking of Maureen Maguires, she was a school teacher.
The incident took place during Travis' Kansas City Chiefs games during the fall of 2023, and it was the same time when the NFL star and Taylor Swift just started going out, and they were getting to know each other. Taylor met Ed, and they posed together at the game. It was Ed's late girlfriend, Maureen Maguires, who teased Taylor by saying that Ed was her boyfriend, in a half-teasing and half-serious tone, which left everyone laughing out loud. Sharing the incident with Us Weekly, Ed Kelce said:
“She said, 'Hey! That’s my boyfriend'. We ended up doing more of a father-daughter pose."
In another interview, Ed Kelce revealed that for the first time, when he met Taylor Swift, she was at their home; however, Travis was not present there. Well, it was an awkward moment for Ed as he couldn't remember Swift's name. Ed mentioned that he turned to Maureen Maguires and revealed to her that he knew the girl but couldn't recall her name. To this, Maureen Maguires reminded him that it was Taylor Swift. Ed Kelce shared:
"I look at her and I say to Maureen, ‘Oh my God, I know this kid, but I don’t know what her name is.’ Jeez. Like a real idiot. She said, 'You don’t know her? This is Taylor Swift, you idiot.'"
Ed Kelce and Donna Kelce got married in the 1970s, and after 25 years of their marital bliss, the couple decided to mutually part ways. The couple shares two sons, Jason and Travis Kelce. The couple had been committed to their parental duties and did everything to raise their son, before they got famous, so much so, even after realising that their marriage was not working out, they remained glued together, for the sake of their two sons. Speaking about the same, Donna, in an interview with Glamour, said:
"My husband and I knew that our marriage was not working, but we stayed together for the kids. Ours was a very friendly relationship. So, we could do that and make sure that their life was normal as possible. But in that one respect, I did stand still for several years until I could move on on my own.”
