Fitness and lifestyle influencer Carly Douglas tragically passed on June 13, 2026, after fighting a fatal disease. She was 36 years old at the time of her demise. Her family took to her Instagram account to share the tragic news. In a heartbreaking revelation, they stated that Carly had passed away following a rapid and hard-fought battle with stage IV gastric (stomach) cancer. As her family's poignant tribute surfaces online, an interest has been sparked in her life with her biggest support system, i.e. her husband, David Douglas and their little kids.
David Douglas is the husband of the late influencer, Carly Douglas. He gave her constant support while she created content on fitness, motherhood, and home organisation. David frequently featured in her posts. They could be seen enjoying quality time at home or taking vacations with their little ones. Not much is known about her husband, as he led a private life, except for the occasional appearance in Carly's pics and videos. She called David and their kids "my home" and often shared heartwarming words for them in her posts.
Carly documented her gastric cancer journey through her social media and provided updates on her condition. When she was diagnosed with the stage 4 ailment in March 2026, David stepped in as her primary caregiver. Recently, in April 2026, she shared that her husband, David, tried his best to help her amid the tough time by learning to safely drain her PleurX catheter at home, as she hated doing it herself. She expressed her gratitude for his support and advised other women on the importance of choosing the right life partner. Sharing how David stayed by her side through thick and thin, Carly Douglas mentioned:
"He learned how to drain my pleurex drain in the hospital so he could do it for me at home safely. This is actually the thing I hate to do the most, and somehow, he still makes me smile through it. In sickness and in health. Love you forever, David Douglas."

In the statement announcing Carly Douglas' death, her family revealed how she fought stage 4 stomach cancer with grit and determination and had the hope to live. The statement further states that in her final moments, her arms were full of her kids. A part of the post read:
"To be known by Carly Faye, was to be loved by Carly Faye. She treasured her children and savoured every moment with them, soaking up every last drop of giggles and hugs until the very end. Being River, Faye, and Townes' mother was her greatest honour and joy."
In her social media posts regarding her cancer diagnosis, Carly Douglas discussed the heartache of navigating full-time motherhood with a terminal illness. She kept information regarding the little ones' ages and other details private. However, in one of her recent posts, she noted that her oldest was just entering school. Notably, Carly was also pregnant twice before, but she lost the babies. In her family's tribute post for the influencer, they movingly noted that she is now reunited with her "two Heaven babies."
