People close to her are mourning her demise and questioning whether it happened due to the cab driver's rash driving.
In a tragic road accident, Kainoor Mistry lost her life while she was returning home from work in Mumbai. As tributes are being shared by friends and fellow crew member, the family is devastated. Kainoor was also a mother to an eight-year-old son. Her death reminds us how fragile life is. Some of her friends and colleagues have raised concerns about a possible rash and negligent driving by the cab driver.
However, the circumstances surrounding the accident and the allegations of rash driving cannot be verified at this stage, as no such official statement has been released. Meanwhile, Kainoor is remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and colleague. Her photos wearing her IndiGo cabin crew uniform are circulating on the internet.
Her funeral details have been shared online, and it will be held on September 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. Along with the details, the funeral announcement shared that Kainoor was a beautiful soul, a loving friend, a cherished daughter, who left them way too soon. The post can be read as:
"An IndiGo cabin crew member, Kainoor Mistry, passed away yesterday following a road crash while returning from work in an office cab. Friends and colleagues say there may have been negligent and rash driving by the driver. In April 2025, too, a cabin crew member of IndiGo died in Bengaluru under similar circumstances."
Netiznes on X remembered Kainoor and shared their experiences too. One user on X revealed that one of his relative who was a crew member had a similar accident while returning from the duty. The user wrote, "One of my relatives who is crew shattered her hips in an accident like this in the gaon on her way back from IGI. Recovered eventually, but getting into a cab in apna desh is signing an agreement to risk your life."
Another commented, "RIP to the departed soul! I have multiple times observed drivers in cab/taxi/bus using mobile phones, watching reels, or on WhatsApp or on calls while driving! How many of you have observed similar negligence?"
Kainoor, who had a social media account on X, called herself an ambitious, oversensitive creative. She was also an actor, singer, and dancer. She was also part of the Himalayan High S2 ride, wherein eleven women took to the road on their TVS Scooty Zest 110 and navigated through the world's highest motorable road. They were the first group of women riders to conquer Khardung La on a 110cc scooter, and their name was registered in the India Book of Records.
