After which, she slit her wrist and jumped out of their home's window, but she survived while her kids passed away.
Patrick Clancy opened up on the consequences of his ex-wife, Lindsays Clancy's actions
In a moment, the Clancy family's world shattered. Lindsay has been left partially paralyzed while Patrick restarted his life with his new wife. Amid Lindsay's murder trial, Patrick stood with her and called her a loving mother. After the trial ended in a mistrial, Patrick gave his first interview, which would air on September 20, 2026.
In the latest preview of his TV interview, Patrick was asked if he thought he had failed or could have acted differently. To answer it, he stated that he had done the best he could with what he had at that time. Now, he lives with the outcome every day. He said:
"I think I did the best I could with what I had at the time. I live with the outcome. I live with it every day."

Patrick's interview will be aired on September 20, 2026. He also talked about the grief he carried after the murder of his children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan. Lindsay Clancy admitted that she strangled her children at the family's Duxbury, Massachusetts home on January 24, 2023. However, her defense stated that she was not criminally responsible as she was dealing with severe mental health problems.
Patrick's new wife, Rachel Danis, also joined him for the interview and defended their love story. For the unversed, Patrick and Rachel's appearance together created a lot of stir as earlier people had been questioning the former's involvement in the murder of his children. However, during the interview, Rachel defended him and called him a 'selfless father'.
But Patrick's new interview further left the netizens talking. One user on Reddit questioned his interview while requesting privacy, and wrote, "I don’t understand requesting privacy and then appearing on a talk show. I understand addressing rumors to some degree, but why not let it fizzle out instead? I think people will take the opportunity to try and rip him apart further and dissect any words said, especially with Rachel there? Not quite sure the end goal of this, really."
Another user on Reddit pointed out how Patrick shared a statement asking his children for 'help' and not that he missed them. The user commented, "He just keeps giving the ick. He said he speaks to the kids each day, and when asked what he says, he replied, 'help me.’ Not 'I miss you so much, ' 'I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me, ' 'I’m sorry you were scared, 'I love you and always will.' Again, this guy just never seems to get choked up or shed a tear."

For the unversed, Patrick, on the first day of the trial, referred to his ex-wife Lindsay as a mother who loved her kids and would make up songs with the children, and cooked them meals like green eggs and ham. By the end of the trial, eleven jurors agreed that Lindsay should not be held guilty of murdering her children due to her mental health issues.
However, only one holdout, Michael Desronvil, thought that Lindsay was guilty of murder. Recently, he shared a statement stating that he came to the judgment after seeing all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented. He thought it was enough proof that she knew exactly what she was doing and that it was planned.
