Now, TV actress Hina Khan had mentioned that she is not judging Aamir for marrying again. She had then said, "But humare samaj mein ye bahut acha nahi maana jata hai Rubina, shaadi pe shaadi pe shaadi". Now, angry netizens called her a 'chugli aunty'.
Hina Khan, in a recent interaction with actress Rubina Dilaik, spoke about Aamir's third marriage to Gauri Spratt and how it got him into a negative limelight. Hina had stated that Aamir got married three times, and in society, it is not seen in a positive light. Netizens did not like Hina's comments on judging Aamir's third marriage.
A user wrote, "Hina your marriage is also only for fame so don't comment on others. Another one wrote, "Aur amir khan ko tum dono se koi fark nhi padta kyuki tum dono kuch nahi ho, chugly aunties." Another one wrote, "Atleast he is getting married and giving a social acceptance ,unlike others who keep keeps and live live in relationship."
It is worth mentioning that ever since Aamir married Gauri Spratt, accusations of love jihad have been put on him. He was also trolled due to his lack of luck related to relationships, knowing that it is his third marriage. Hina also revealed that Aamir's personal life and choices will affect perception related to his work. Hina had shared:
"By that logic, none of Aamir Khan’s films should work.” When Rubina pointed out that Aamir, however, hasn’t faced any significant controversies over the decades, Hina wondered, “Is this (his marriage to Gauri) any less controversial?”
The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress revealed that the average person would think that Aamir was getting married again after leaving his previous wives. She shared that she does not judge him but that it is about how society sees stars. It is not seen as good, and Hina's husband Rocky even shared that divorce is also not seen favourably.
Aamir Khan has even been labelled as the brand ambassador of love jihad. He had even shared that Gauri is a Christian and that none of his wives had converted to Islam post the marriage. Aamir also noted that the women in his family got married to men of varied other religions and had dismissed the 'love jihad' allegations. The actor had shared:
"The truth is that ours is a very inclusive family. Both my sisters are married to Hindus; my daughter is also married to a Hindu. My cousin Mansoor is married to a Christian. Neither Gauri, Kiran nor Reena converted their religion, as we had civil marriages. Gauri is not even Hindu, she is Christian, and not even a practising Christian at that. Life is getting more comical as time passes."
Speaking about Aamir Khan's marriages, he and Gauri Spratt had tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at their home in Bandra, Mumbai. The couple tied the knot on July 5, 2026, at their Mumbai home. Aamir and Reena had married in 1986, and both of them were blessed with Junaid and Ira Khan.
After Aamir and Reena divorced back in 2002 he started dating Kiran Rao back in 2004. Both of them had tied the knot and in 2011 became parents to a son named, Azad. The ex-pair welcomed Azad via surrogacy and in 2021 both of them parted ways. Aamir has continued to share a warm bond with his ex-wives, Reena and Kiran.
