Frank Jr. popped the question to Nicole Perricho in February 2026 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. Nicole herself announced the news on social media. She uploaded a picture on Instagram from the moment and captioned it with the date and a red heart. Frank was spotted in a black suit while he went down on a knee. Nicole was in a white jumper dress with feather detail along the sleeves.
Dolores was in the city for the occasion, but kept a low profile. On her Instagram Story shared the same day, Dolores hinted that she was there, and later put up a short clip of herself outside the church wrapped up in a coat, wearing oversized sunglasses and a face covering.
Talking in a March 2025 interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Dolores shared what the couple had in mind for the wedding. She said they were planning to say their vows in Portugal, then hold another gathering back in New Jersey for relatives who rarely leave Paterson.
She noted that even a trip to New York was a stretch for her family, so a second event felt necessary. Dolores gave an update again in January 2026 during a chat with PEOPLE, where she confirmed the main ceremony would be in Portugal.
Frank Jr. and Nicole Perricho’s wedding ceremony was held on August 1, 2026, at The Vintage House in the Douro Valley, Portugal. The couple told PEOPLE they had wanted the day to feel relaxed, elegant, and naturally romantic, but an authentic celebration set in wine country.
Frank Jr. explained why Portugal mattered to them, saying that Nicole’s family is from there, and her connection to the region runs deep. They had spent every summer in the area since they started dating, so it already felt like home. He said he could not imagine a better place to start their marriage. They worked with planner JoAnn Gregoli to shape the day.
From the start, they pictured a small ceremony with their closest friends. It was also important to them to have a traditional Catholic service in a church, led by their parish priest in Portugal. After the vows, guests were served a seated dinner. The menu leaned into Portuguese flavours and local produce. It included fresh burrata with heirloom tomatoes, local seafood starters, filet mignon, Atlantic fish and lobster, plus seasonal vegetables. The meal was paired with Portuguese wines and a selection of artisanal cheeses from across the country.
For dessert, they went with a four-tier cake in ivory buttercream. One option was vanilla bean sponge layered with fresh berries and mascarpone cream. The second was chocolate cake with salted caramel filling. Both had delicate floral detailing to match the overall look. Alongside the cake, there were Portuguese pastries too, including pasteis de nata, fruit tarts, macarons and chocolate truffles.
Music was a big part of the evening. The couple asked for a DJ who could keep people dancing with early-2000s tracks. During the reception, they also ran a projector showing clips from Miami Vice, which they said was one of their favourite shows to watch together and added a personal touch.
Their first dance was to Risk It All by Bruno Mars. They felt the song reflected their relationship and the commitment they were making. The celebrations ran across the whole weekend, not just the wedding day. They started with a boat party on the Douro River. Guests gathered on the top deck with a DJ, dancing while taking in the views.
They also left gaps in the schedule so people could explore. Some went kayaking, others visited local wineries, and many just enjoyed the landscape of the Douro Valley. On the final day, everyone met again for a farewell brunch before heading home.
