After Dianna grabbed attention for her controversy involving Mike Vrabel, a lot of questions have been raised. It was during that time when Dianna's ESPN colleague, Jon “Stugotz” Weiner, publicly offered her a job if she needed one. Back then, Weiner said that if Dianna's company fired her, she would be doing the Fox Sports radio show, “Stugotz and Company" alongside him. It's not known whether her current venture has anything to do with the past offer or not.

Dianna Russini's previous company released a statement regarding their investigation into her and called it a 'violation'

Dianna's previous company, The Athletic, ended its investigation into the controversy in September 2026. It was also revealed in the statement that although Dianna wrote 'glowingly of him (Vrabel)', which, in hindsight, is 'awkward or even uncomfortable', it couldn't be determined whether she used her platform to help Mike during her time at The Athletic.

Dianna also responded to the statement, saying she stands by all the reporting she has done in her career. Mike Vrabel, who said he would undergo therapy after the controversy, was reportedly asked about The Athletic's investigation. The NFL coach reportedly didn't comment, but said that he had moved on.
