Despite the backlash she has faced for speaking her mind, television actor Aanchal Khurana has spoken in support of Harshad and called him a “genuine sweetheart”, with fans still divided over his decision to give up his place in the competition.
Harshad’s last-minute exit from Lock Upp 2 has created a huge debate among the fans. Viewers are questioning if Shivangi deserved to move ahead after the actor voluntarily decided to step down. Amidst the controversy, Aachal Khurana hijacked Instagram with her own unfiltered opinions.
In a video shared on her Instagram, Aanchal praised Harshad's personality, saying his kindness extends beyond the cameras. She didn't hesitate to admit that he is genuinely a nice person, unlike Shivangi, whose alleged off-camera antics question her persona on the show. The actress said, "Harshad is genuinely a sweetheart in real life also. He is very naive and innocent in real life."
Aanchal spoke out about Shivangi Joshi’s alleged manipulative behavior and defended Harshad's sincerity. She also responded to criticism from those accusing her of speaking out only to remain relevant or secure a place on another reality show. She said, "I have a problem when their fans come after me after I tell the truth. Guys, you don't even know them personally. I have worked with them."

Since the beginning of the show, Harshad and Shivangi were a much-loved pair for fans, with many viewers and even co-contestants shipping them together, though they both clarified that they were just really good friends and nothing more. However, cracks began to form between the longtime friends in recent weeks, with new conflicts rising.
The latest controversy stems from Harshad Chopda's shocking decision to sacrifice his own place in the competition to save Shivangi Joshi. During a recent task, Shreya Kalra won a special advantage and chose to eliminate Shivangi from the race. Host Riteish Deshmukh then presented Harshad with a difficult choice: he could leave the show immediately but ensure Shivangi became the first finalist.
Surprisingly, Harshad accepted the offer and ended his own journey in the show to secure Shivangi's place in the finale. Before walking out, Harshad made Shivangi the first finalist. While many viewers hailed the actor's selflessness, others bashed Shivangi, accusing her of emotionally manipulating Harshad and saying it was all part of her game plan.
In the same video, Aanchal called out Shivangi Joshi's fandom for blindly supporting her and took a dig at her conduct inside the Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa house. The actress alleged that Shivangi's on-screen persona is different from how she behaves in real life, claiming viewers are only seeing a carefully maintained image.
"She is just acting in front of her fans. This mask didn't stay in the show during Harshad's time. This is her real personality," Aanchal said in her Instagram video. She further claimed she had first-hand experience of Shivangi's behaviour after working in the television industry alongside her.
Now, with Shivangi Joshi and Shreya Kalra standing as the finalists, it remains to be seen who gets to take home the coveted winner's trophy.
