While the Ved actor will be playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the movie is also expected to focus on Sambhaji Shahaji Raje Bhosle. Who was Sambhaji Shahaji Raje Bhosle?

According to a report by The Daily Jagran, Sambhaji Shahaji Raje Bhosle was the elder son of Shahji Raje Bhosle and Jijabai. He was the elder brother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. If reports are to be believed, Sambhaji Shahaji was born in 1623, and later on, he went on to follow the footsteps of his father. Reportedly, Shahaji Raje Bhosle was a military general and his son eventually held an important position in the same. 

While Sambhaji's younger brother, Chhatrapati Shivaji established the Maratha empire, he spent a major part of his life serving under the Bijapur Sultanate. Reportedly, he was the Maratha sardar. However, Sambhaji Shahaji Raje Bhosle's life was short-lived, as he died in 1655. Reportedly, he died during a military campaign at Kanakagiri. It is worth mentioning that Sambhaji's death at an early age meant that he was unable to see the success of his younger brother, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the Maratha Empire. Despite the short life, Sambhaji had a huge impact in history.

In the movie, Abhishek will play the role of Ritiesh's elder brother. It is worth mentioning that Abhishek is expected to bring a lot of depth, layer and intensity to the film, with his powerful performance as Sambhaji Raje Bhosle. Recently, sharing the teaser on his Instagram handle, Abhishek Bachchan penned a note in Marathi, which if translated means:
