Lisa told her followers that she is recovering after undergoing surgery for breast cancer two weeks ago.

Meet Lisa Faulkner's husband, John Torode
John Torode was born on July 23, 1965, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Currently, John is based in England, where he runs his own restaurants. For those unaware, John is a popular celebrity chef and TV presenter. He made his TV debut with ITV’s morning show, This Morning. He also appeared on the show, MasterChef. In 2022, he was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in the Birthday Honours for services to food and charity.
Lisa Faulkner and John Torode's love story
Lisa and John first crossed paths in 2010 on BBC One’s Celebrity MasterChef. On the show, John served as a judge, while Lisa competed and won the show. In 2015, the duo began dating. After dating for 4 years, the couple got married on October 24, 2019, in a star-studded autumn ceremony at Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire. Lisa and John have a blended family of five children, Billie Coghill, Casper, Marsali, Jonah, and Lulu.
Before finding love in each other, Lisa and John were married to different partners. John got married to a woman named Jessica in 2000. The former couple welcomed two children together. They parted ways in 2011 and officially got divorced in 2014. On the other hand, Lisa was married to Chris Coghill, who played 'Tony King' in the show, EastEnders. The former pair adopted a daughter together named Billie. Speaking about John, Lisa previously said:
"He was a judge on a show I loved and I was petrified of him. He was brilliant and gave us all tips so you didn't want to let him down. All I could think was, 'That sauce hasn't worked'. I didn't see anything but food for three months. After I won, we did The Good Food Show and stuff. John and I always got on, but I never thought about me and him."
It was John who asked Lisa out on a date. He wrote a letter to her and asked her out to dinner. Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2013. Lisa shared that she and John were friends and didn’t have any plans to fall in love. However, things changed when he asked her out on a date. She was quoted as saying:
"John and I were friends. Neither of us thought of it as anything else until. I don't know how things change, but something does. He asked me on a date. We went out for dinner. Then it was slightly different. I'm really, really happy. John and I are having such a nice time but we're taking things slowly. There are lots of other people to consider."
In a 2022 interview with the Daily Mail, John Torode described his letter as 'cowardly'. The celebrity chef mentioned that he was unsure whether Lisa would accept him and thus he wrote a letter to her. In fact, he thought that Lisa might reject him if he had asked her out face to face. He was quoted as saying:
"I'd separated from my wife [Jessica] which was awful, and I was reluctant to approach Lisa face to face as I didn't fancy the prospect of her saying no, so I wrote her a letter. If I'd got no response, it wouldn't matter. Cowardly? S***, yeah. I'm as cowardly as they get."
