Adam Driver is a well-known actor who has appeared in both Broadway and off-Broadway productions. He made his film debut in the biographical film, J. Edgar in 2011. His breakthrough came in 2012 when he appeared on the HBO TV series, Girls. Some of his other notable works include the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Hungry Hearts, Marriage Story, BlacKkKlansman, and Ferrari.
At present, Adam Driver has been hogging the limelight after Girls creator, Lena Dunham, mentioned him in her memoir, Famesick. Lena recalled how, before Adam became an Oscar-nominated actor, he used to play ‘Adam Sackler,’ a brooding actor who had an on-again, off-again relationship with her character. At the time, Lena recalled how Adam used to behave toxicly on the set, from throwing a chair at the wall next to her, to punching a hole in his trailer wall. Lena claimed that she never had the foresight to confront him about it. Well, now that Adam is in the spotlight for his professional life, many have become curious about his personal life, especially his wife, Jaonne Tucker.

Similar to her husband, Adam Driver, Joanne Tucker is also an actor. Over the years, Joanne has appeared in a handful of minor roles. This includes both TV shows and movies. For instance, she starred in the 2020 film, Give or Take and the Showtime series, American Rust. In 2018, Joanne was seen alongside her husband in The Report. Many might not be aware, but she has even made an appearance on HBO's Girls, the very show which shot Adam to fame. Talking about her work as an actress, Joanne once told The Royal Gazette, “I love putting myself in other people's shoes and imagining their life from different perspectives.”

According to a report by People, Joanne Tucker was a ballerina in her youth. Unfortunately, her dancing career came to an end after she was rushed to the hospital with an illness while she was on tour for The Nutcracker. During a conversation with The Royal Gazette, Joanne called it a “come-to-Jesus” moment. Following the incident, Joanne recalled thinking that she would “pursue this acting thing because life is fragile.”

When Tucker was very young, she and her family moved to live in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to this, however, Joanne was actually born in Bermuda. Reportedly, she is the granddaughter of Sir Henry Tucker, the territory's first government leader. Joanne did not shy away from talking about her roots during her interview with The Royal Gazette. She says that she used to spend her summers running around on the beach.

Joanne said that “it was a vivid, sensorially important part of my upbringing.” For those unaware, Bermuda was also the same location where Joanne tied the knot with Adam Driver in a 2013 wedding. She said that it is one of those places that draws you back and that she loves both the people and the place.

Getting accepted into Juilliard is no easy task, but Joanne Tucker pulled it off by getting accepted into the drama program and later graduating in 2009. Well, this is where she met her now-husband, Adam Driver. In an interview with The New Yorker, Adam recalled what he thought of her, saying, “She read a lot of books, knew a lot of s---.” He also said that Joanne was very composed. It is worth noting that Adam and Joanne's 2013 wedding was officiated by Juilliard teacher, Richard Feldman. While speaking to the same outlet as Adam, he said that Joanne “doesn't take any nonsense.”
Joanne Tucker and Adam Driver share two children together. Known for being a super private couple, the duo did not even announce the birth of their first child for the first four years of his life. While they did drop a few hints here and there, Adam finally announced that he was a father during his opening monologue for Saturday Night Live, where he was on hosting duty in 2020. He told the audience, “I'm a husband. And a father. It's in that order, though. I've been very clear with my son about that; he's second in everything.”

In February 2023, People reported that Joanne was pregnant with her and Adam's second child. Photos obtained by Page Six at the time also showed the couple in New York City, with the former dancer's baby bump on display. Adam announced their daughter's birth during a dress rehearsal for when he was a host on Saturday Night Live. He said:
"Last year, I asked for a baby girl, and I got it, which is exciting. So this year, I wish for Ambien!”

Together, Joanne and Adam have co-founded a non-profit organisation called Arts in the Armed Forces. It is responsible for bringing free artistic programming to those in the military. While speaking to Variety in 2021, Joanne stated:
"We developed the format together based on our audition process for Juilliard, which is that you learn four monologues and are asked to do two to four of them in your audition. For the military, it was exposure to a new means of communication, and for the arts community, it was realising the military wasn't only 'Apocalypse Now' and 'MASH.'"
