Bollywood celebrity duo, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma were once rated among the hottest couples in Tinseltown. For the unversed, Ranveer and Anushka reportedly dated each other for around two years after they came close to each other while shooting for their films, Band Baaja Baraat and Ladies vs Ricky Behl. After their split, the duo remained cordial and even worked together in Zoya Akhtar's film, Dil Dhadakne Do, which was released in 2015.
Once Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma graced the controversial talk show, Koffee With Karan, and the duo left everyone in awe of their chemistry. Now, a video of the same has been reshared on Reddit, wherein Ranveer recalled his first meeting with Anushka. In the video, the then-lovebirds were seen sharing fond memories of their love story, and it's unmissable. Sharing the video, the user penned:

The actor further recalled when he saw Anushka grooving to the song, Dance Pe Chance, from her debut film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, he was in awe of her. However, he revealed that he and his close friend judged her flexibility by claiming that she must have been doing yoga back then. Ranveer further went on to add:
"I saw Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi first day, night show. I was completely mesmerised by her beauty. It was actually a date, and I was with this beautiful girl. And after the movie, all I could talk about is Anushka. Even when I was watching the promo of Dance Pe Chance, I'm sitting with my friend, and I was like yoga karti hogi. And my friend said, 'kya lagta hai?' Power yoga."
Ranveer Singh then recalled his first encounter with Anushka Sharma and revealed that it was an unexpected meeting. Sharing the filmy details from the same, the actor described how he was wooed by Anushka's glory when he saw her in real life for the first time. He also mentioned that he lost his concentration and all he could think about was Anushka, which even cost him the film. In his words:
"Cut to, this audition process happening and Manish called me to do a reading session with my co-actor, little did I know it was Anushka Sharma. He takes me up to the 4th floor of the YRF studios, and the opulent doors open. And since there were huge doors, the wind flies in my face and right in front of me was Anushka in all her glory. So I had this iPod in my ear, but I'm not listening to the song because 'Tujhme Rabb Dikhta Hai' is playing in my head. I lost my concentration, and I was simply wooed by Anushka. It even cost me this film."
As soon as the video went viral, netizens were quick to react to Ranveer Singh's description of his first meeting with Anushka Sharma. While one user penned, "Ranveer has been chhapri from beginning", another one wrote, "Ranveer seems like such a big liar. His entire talk seemed so exaggerated as if he was trying so hard to flatter Anushka! He gives major creepy vibes."

Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh were basking in the success of their film, Band Baaja Baarat, and they were all excited to be part of the show. During one of the segments of the show, Ranveer said to Anushka, "Hey, you want your a** pinched? I’m right here!." However, his comment didn't go down with Anushka, and she immediately reacted to the same. She didn't like the way Ranveer spoke to her and clearly told him that he shouldn't talk to her like this. Moreover, Ranveer Singh faced a lot of flak for his sexist comment.
Fast forward to today, both Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma have moved on in their lives and are happily married now. While Anushka exchanged wedding vows with cricketer Virat Kohli in 2017, Ranveer tied the knot with Deepika Padukone in 2018. Anushka and Virat joined the parenthood club after they welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Vamika, in January 2021.
