Perfect couples are not imaginations and we can vouch for the same after we saw Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli live their ‘happily ever after’ on December 11, 2017, when they got married to each other in their dreamy Italy wedding. From defending his ladylove when she was subjected to trolls for India losing a vital cricket match, giving the sole credit of his success and the change in his mannerisms to her, to the missus complaining that she doesn’t have much time at her disposal for her hubby and feeling grateful at the same time for being married to a 'good man', Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are sheer goals! Anushka Sharma rings in her second birthday post marriage with her hubby, Virat Kohli today, and we can’t wait for the heartfelt wish that the latter will post for his wifey, sooner or later. To give you all blast from the past (last year we mean!), the Indian cricket captain had taken to Instagram and posted an adorable picture with his wifey, wherein he was seen feeding cake to his own lady superstar. Sharing the picture, Virat had written, “Happy B'day my love. The most positive and honest person I know. Love you.” Here is the snap:
And exactly a year has passed and Anushka Sharma is ringing in her 31st birthday today, May 01, 2019. For his wife’s ‘big day’, Virat Kohli has planned an intimate birthday dinner for Anushka in Bengaluru. A source has shared with the Mid-Day, “There is so much attention [being given] to them that they decided to make this celebration a private affair. They will spend the day with each other. With Virat free from IPL [Indian Premier League] duties today, he planned an intimate dinner for the two of them. He has locked the venue and a specially curated meal has been organised. It will be a vegan meal that includes Anushka's favourite dishes."
All that we wait for now is to see Virat Kohli’s wish for Anushka Sharma and the pictures from their dreamy birthday dinner! To cite another example of how adorable this couple is, on the completion of their one year of marital bliss on December 11, 2018, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had taken to Instagram and posted some beautiful pictures and videos from their wedding. Sharing their wedding video, Virat had captioned it as, “Can't believe it's been a year already because it feels like it happened just yesterday. Time has truly flown by. Happy anniversary to my best friend and my soulmate. Mine forever @anushkasharma”, and Anushka wrote, “It's heaven, when you don't sense time passing by ... It's heaven, when you marry a good 'man'...” Here’s a glimpse from the same: (Also Read: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Targeted By Meanest Trolls For Walking Hand-In-Hand With Aaradhya Bachchan)
Anushka Sharma was the Vogue cover girl for March 2019 and in the same, Bollywood’s Pari revealed the extent the couple had gone to keep their wedding a secret, which included keeping fake names for preparations. Revealing the details, Anushka had shared, “We even used fake names while talking to the caterer; I think Virat’s was Rahul.” She further added, “We wanted to have a home-style wedding. There were only 42 people there, with all our friends and family present. I wanted it to be about Virat and me marrying each other, and not this big celebrity wedding. The energy at our wedding was blessed.”
A few days back, Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy rumours had raised quite a hullabaloo in the media. But soon enough, the actress cleared it all in an interview with the Hindustan Times, “That (spreading rumours) is something people will do anyway. It’s completely unnecessary and silly as you ultimately can’t hide such a thing. You can hide a marriage but not pregnancy. I feel every female actor goes through it, so people marry you off even before you are hitched and make you a mother before you are pregnant. I don’t pay attention to it, and just laugh these things off since I find them hilarious. When I read about such stuff, I think, ‘where do such absurd things come from?’ Right now, I’m literally working round-the-clock.”
Anushka Sharma during the promotions of her much-awaited September 2018 release, Sui Dhaaga, (where she plays a housewife) had shared her feelings upon leading a domestic life on the sets of the film. She had stated, “Jitna main shaadi ke baad domesticated nahi hui hoon because main 15 saal ki umar she kaam kar rahi hun…I have gotten married and I continue to work but jo domestic nature mujhe Sharad ne diya, jo ek shaadi karke ghar main hone ka feel (laughs)”. Anushka had further added that she doesn’t get to spend much time with her hubby, Virat Kohli, “I don’t even get to spend time with my husband but is film mein (I have got to) stay in that world, in the domestic setup…mujhe bahut hi ek acha gharelu atmosphere jeene ko mila.” (Must Read: Shahid And Mira's Baby Boy, Zain Kapoor Is The Most Dapper Celeb Baby, And This Video Is A Proof)
Even before their marriage, Virat Kohli had never ceased to praise his wife, Anushka Sharma. He had shared in a throwback interview, “She acts as a big motivation for me. She is one person in my life who keeps me very calm. There are very few people in my life that I can sit down and listen to. She is one of them. I listen to her calmly about everything she says. She makes me understand if I make a mistake if I am doing something wrong. She gives me that calm feeling. She gives me that assurance. And I know she will always support me, no matter what. That's a big thing for me. So when I see her cheering for me at the ground, it obviously makes me feel special. It gives me more strength, makes me feel calmer, it's like emotional support. Once you get that you don't need to think about anything else. Because once you are feeling the emotional support, you are feeling so confident that you can go out there and conquer. You know there is someone sitting out there to support you always. And Anushka is a very special part of my life. I love the fact that she comes and supports me when I play."
We wish Anushka Sharma a very happy birthday!
